Trump order causes more confusion
Tonight on The Last Word: Lawrence reacts to Melania Trump wearing "the most controversial garment any First Lady in history had ever worn" to visit children at the border and asks about the impetus for her to go to the border. Cal Perry reports on the crisis in the "tent city" for migrant children. Immigrant rights advocate Jonathan Ryan says the Trump administration does not want the public to see the conditions children are facing. Trump caves on family separation policy
Tonight on The Last Word: Trump signed an executive order today that orders the Justice Department and Pentagon to take steps to keep families together which could mean children being jailed with their families but it does not indicate plans to reunite children already separated from their parents. Also, does the President truly believe this is good politics for him? And former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen reportedly has a new lawyer which could indicate his new legal strategy.
