Jonathan is just an incredible human being! This podcast is my favorite because I share his tenacity for learning. He has amazing guest on a wide range of topics that he is curious about! I listen during my commutes and it's like having two best friends in the car with me! Just Love! Oh and he asks all the questions we all want to know to help us understand.

Voting rights activist, author, lawyer, and politician Stacey Abrams joins Jonathan to discuss the history of voting rights in the United States, the current state of voter suppression, and how we can work towards fair voting and a robust civic engagement. Abrams served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2007 to 2017, and as minority leader from 2011 to 2017. In 2018, she became the first Black woman to run as a major-party gubernatorial nominee in the US. She is the founder of Fair Fight, an organization that works to ensure every American has a voice in our legal system, and Fair Count, which advocates for accuracy in the 2020 Census and greater participation in civic engagement. How Do Firefighters Fight Bushfires? With Fiona Macken

Fiona Macken is a volunteer Firefighter with the Country Fire Authority and 3rd Lieutenant of the Diamond Creek Fire Brigade. In 2009 she was deployed during the Black Saturday Bushfires, which are considered Australia’s most devastating fires to date. She’s witnessed the lasting impact these catastrophes have on survivors and firefighters and has dedicated her life’s work to safety education and prevention. She sat down with Jonathan in Melbourne to share why she became a first responder, the team of people supporting firefighters, and how to help with the most recent bushfires in Australia.

Deborah N. Archer received her JD from Yale Law School where she was also awarded the Charles G. Albom Prize. She’s held several esteemed titles throughout her career, and New York Law Journal has recently recognized her as one of New York's “Top Women in the Law.” She is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Law at NYU, Co-Faculty Director of the Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law, and Director of the Civil Rights Clinic at NYU School of Law. Sallie Krawcheck is the CEO and Co-Founder of Ellevest, a company working to help close the gender pay gap by “redefining investing for women.” Sallie received her MBA from Columbia Business School and has a BA in Journalism from the University of North Carolina. She is the former CFO of Citigroup and former CEO of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and considered one of the highest-ranking women to ever work on Wall Street. She joined Jonathan in the studio to discuss the gender, wealth, and race pay gaps women and people of color face in today’s financial world and why it's so important to intentionally invest.

What’s It Like To Be A Booked And Busy Irish Queen? With Actress Nicola Coughlan

Nicola Coughlan was born in Galway Ireland where she started acting at a young age. She made her screen debut in a 2004 Irish short film and went on to attend the Oxford School of Drama and Birmingham School of Acting. In 2018 she booked the Netflix Irish sitcom Derry Girls and made her West End debut in Donmar Warehouse’s production of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. She’s always been a fierce advocate for women’s rights, the homeless, and LGBTQ+ communities and continues to use her voice to speak up for those who aren’t heard. She joined Jonathan in a London studio to talk about growing up in Ireland including some history, life after attending drama school, and an exciting new project with Shonda Rhimes!
