Mahmood Al-Tabib (also spelled Mahmoud Al-Tabeb) is a prominent Quran reciter from Libya. He is recognized as one of the distinguished reciters in Libya, a country known for its many memorizers of the Holy Quran. He primarily recites in the Hafs ‘an Asim narration and has fully memorized the Holy Quran. He obtained certification in the ten readings and has mastered several recitation methods. Mahmood Al-Tabib was born in Libya into a small, conservative family where he was the youngest of four brothers. He later moved to the United Arab Emirates and settled in Sharjah, where he currently works as an Imam and preacher in the Malik Bin Aws Mosque.
