Description

Rodziah Abdulrahman, also spelled Rodziah Abdul Rahman or Rudziah Abdulrahman, is a female Quran reciter from Malaysia recognized for her Hafs ‘an Asim murattal recitation. A multiple-time winner of Malaysia’s national Tilāwah al-Qur’ān competition in the late 1960s and early 1970s, she developed a recitation style marked by smooth melodic transitions, thoughtful phrasing, and precise Tajwīd. Her recordings—including full surahs such as Āl-ʿImrān, al-Anfāl, al-Aḥzāb, Fatir, and al-Munāfiqūn—are preserved in prominent Qur’anic audio collections and celebrated for their clarity and emotional resonance. Rodziah Abdulrahman is cherished by listeners seeking a devotional and well-articulated female voice in Quran recitation.
