Miami Heat: A Wild Win in Charlotte
25:20
The Miami Heat closed the "first half" of the season with a clunker in Charlotte, scoring just 10 points in the second quarter, missing several opportunities late and still winning.   The entire crew (Ethan Skolnick, Brady Hawk, Alex Toledo and Greg Sylvander at the game) come together to sprint through a strange night, that included Jimmy Butler missing everything except a couple shots that mattered, as Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson and PJ Tucker carried the day.   Sponsored by NordVPN.com/5RSN, TherapistPreferred.com (code 5RSN), Water Cleanup of Florida and City Cigar Lounge.

49:58

Pulled from our Five Reasons YouTube channel live stream, Ethan Skolnick hosts with guests Greg Sylvander, Alex Toledo, Timothy Bain, Tony Schwartz and Gad Cartagena an hour after the 2022 NBA trade deadline.

The Heat did not make a follow-up move to their trade of KZ Okpala to OKC, but plenty happened around the league, including the huge Ben Simmons for James Harden swap.

Who won? Who lost? Who's a threat? Should anyone fear Serge Ibaka? How do the Heat address the backup power forward spot now? And is Victor Oladipo lurking? That and more.

Miami Heat: KZ Okpala dealt. Something else coming?
32:31

The Miami Heat finally gave up on the KZ Okpala experiment, trading him to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2026 second-round pick, and unlocking first round picks in the process.

So will Okpala be the only to go? Or is this a precursor for another deal, perhaps for PJ Washington?

Miami Heat: Is this Bam Adebayo’s Offensive Ceiling?
39:37

We call him "No Ceiling" and that has remained true on defense.

But has Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo hit his ceiling offensively? His shot attempts have leveled off, he's not featured at all in the fourth quarter, his assist-to-turnover ratio has slumped, and his midrange shooting numbers have sunk.

So is there is more? And how does Erik Spoelstra bring it out?

The Miami Heat are in position to be the top team in the Eastern Conference, even after all their injuries.
