Today I am discussing the case of 21 year old Adam Castillo from Wilcox, Arizona. On the night of Saturday, September 13th, 2008 Adam went to a party in the desert with about 30 other people and was never seen again. Rumors began to swirl in the small town and the sheriff’s office actually shut down the local high school for an entire day just to conduct interviews and see if they could figure out what happened in the desert that night. But, 13 years later the case has gone cold and we still don’t know how Adam Castillo disappeared. Karen Bodine
3066
Today I am discussing the case of 37-year-old Karen Bodine from Washington state. Karen was found murdered at the entrance to a gravel pit in 2007. Her body was pretty much in plain sight. Despite the case being featured at CrimeCon’s 2019 CrowdSolve event, renewed interest from the police, and her family fighting for her, her case remains unsolved. Karen’s daughter Karlee reached out to me directly to ask for help in getting her mother’s story out there. She is working so hard for her mom and really just wants this story to be heard. There was little traditional news coverage of Karen’s case until just a few years ago. And Karlee isn’t happy with the way her mother has been depicted. So, I really wanted to just give her an opportunity to share her mother’s story.  Visit KarenBodine.com for more information on how you can help Karen's case. Today I am discussing the case of 20-year-old Amber Tuccaro. In 2010 Amber took a trip to Edmonton in Alberta, Canada with her son and a friend. On the last night of their trip, she got a ride from a stranger and was never seen again. Two years later the police released audio of what is believed to be Amber’s last phone call and asked the public for help. Ayla Reynolds
3079
Today I am discussing the case of missing 20-month-old Ayla Reynolds. According to Ayla’s father Justin DiPietro, on December 16, 2011, he put her to bed at 8pm and when he woke up she was gone. Justin and his family are convinced that Ayla was abducted. However, law enforcement quickly dispelled this theory and accused Justin and those in the house the night Ayla went missing of knowing more than they are sharing with investigators. Despite some pretty damning evidence, years of fighting and lawsuits, and this quite literally this becoming the largest search for a missing person in the history of the state of Maine, Ayla’s case remains unresolved. If you have any information about Ayla please call the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit at 207-624-7143. Nevaeh Buchanan
2840
Today I’m discussing the case of Nevaeh Buchanan from Monroe, Michigan. Nevaeh was only 5 years old when she was murdered in 2009. There have been several promising persons of interest in this case. One that investigators even said they were 99.999% sure killed Nevaeh. Yet no one has been brought to justice for the horrific murder of this child. Why is that? Let’s dig in and see what we can find out. Nanette Krentel
3305
Today I am discussing the case of Nanette Krentel. Nanette’s case is extremely tragic and odd. Despite living in her home on 100 acres that she deemed a fortress due to her extensive security measures, in 2017 her house was burned to the ground with Nanette inside of it. This puzzled investigators and her family. Her husband of 22 years was the local fire chief, Nanette knew what to do in case of a fire. But upon further inspection, it appears that this retired preschool teacher had more enemies than initially realized. Live at CrimeCon 2021: Ethics in True Crime
4099
Today I am bringing you something a little different than my normal episodes. As many of you know, earlier this month I attended an event called CrimeCon. At this event, I represented Voices for Justice on Podcast Row, but I was also there to present a panel on Ethics in True Crime. I was blessed to have some many amazing creators and advocates join me. Moderating the discussion was the amazing Stephanie Harlowe from YouTube and Crime Weekly with Derrick Levasseur and joining us was John Lordan who you might remember from the Netflix Cecil Hotel Documentary as well as from YouTube, Bob Ruff from Truth and Justice as well as True crime Binge and 2 incredible advocates, one of my best friends, Kelsi German, sister of Liberty German and Jason Watts who advocates for his missing friend, Brandon Lawson. This was just an open, honest conversation between creators, advocates, and me who obviously falls in between about how to make this a better space for victim’s and their families fighting for them. Desiree Gibbon
4006
Today I am discussing the case of 26 year old Desiree Gibbon. Desiree was murdered in 2017 over Thanksgiving weekend and found about 20 minutes away from her grandmother’s hotel in Jamaica. Desiree spent almost every summer growing up at this very hotel so when she was found murdered not only were her parents devastated but they were also completely shocked. After taking a closer look at the circumstances, her mother is sure that the perpetrator is someone that knew her and lured her away. Today I am discussing the case of Amy Lynn Bradley, a woman who went missing from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in 1998. This case has a lot of twists and turns, we have conflicting statements from the man who is believed to be the last person to see Amy, we have conflicting statements from the crew on the ship, and we have multiple sightings of Amy after she went missing. But we have no Amy. Her family has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and dedicated their lives trying to figure out what happened to her.
