In the series premiere of Alive Again, you’ll hear Trey Anastasio talk about his musical origins, including his early compositional experiences and musical influences, and the relationship between composition and improvisation.


You’ll also hear Trey and his collaborators talk about songwriting and the genesis of the Trey Anastasio Band. Lastly, Trey shares memories of Tony Markellis, the bass player in the band, who passed away this spring.
