an excellent exploration of a tragic and complex case I was deeply moved and saddened by the rush to judgement and the clarity and determination by family and those who helped bring the truth to light

very disappointed. I love wrongful conviction podcasts. However this one was one sided and the "new evidence" consists of the perpetrator changing their story and then the podcast doing a reenactment of the new story. Bizarre.

How many ads can you possibly fit into one single episode?! Greedy much?

horribly one sided.

What does 90% of this podcast have to do with who killed this family? It's just listening to his family complain about everything they don't like about her family.

This podcast is so disappointing. It's not a presentation of facts but a presentation of his family's opinions. Couldn't make it past episode 3 due to the same regurgitated opinions.

Worst true crime podcast I've listened to in a long time. So completely one sided in its telling. The host believes the convicted man's family's petty complaints about the victim's family, with no corroboration from any other source.

Description

In 2007, Chris Vaughn was arrested during a funeral for his wife and three children. He would be tried and convicted of their murders. To this day he maintains no memory of what occurred that tragic day 20 years ago. Murder in Illinois follows the complicated circumstances that led to Vaughn’s conviction, as well as the forensic evidence his supporters believe proves his innocence- in attempt to answer one question: Who killed the Vaughn family?
