You’ll also learn about specific health benefits of different types of fasting, so you can choose the best regimen for your needs. In particular, fasting can be beneficial for people with high blood sugar or high insulin (like type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, or PCOS), high blood pressure, or obesity.
