This podcast is designed to provide patient counseling for both prescription and non-prescription medications in easy to understand language and terminology. Each episode focuses on the type(s) of medication, why they may be prescribed, how they work, how to take them, and general cautions and side effects to be aware of. The goal of this podcast is to give the individual information so that they understand the importance of taking their medication correctly, safely, and with confidence so that they continue to take the medication as directed by the prescriber. It also provides information about cautions when taking the medication, whether prescription or non-prescription, and some of the side effects an individual may experience.This podcast DOES NOT provide individual evaluations on medication therapy and DOES NOT promote or advocate self-diagnosis, self-prescribing or self-medicating.
