Episode Date
February 1st, 2023. Grand Forks, North Dakota Decides to Cancel Fufeng Mill...
1566
It’s February 1st. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, the city of Grand Forks, North Dakota has decided to cancel that Chinese mill that was going to be built in their city, just 16 miles from a key air force base. I’ll tell you why. Second, an update on attempts to save the Colorado River out west. States who use that water tried to come up with a negotiated deal to share the river’s resources but they failed. I’ll explain what comes next. Third, some bad news for countries looking to build factories to make their own solar panels. China just banned the export of some key equipment. Finally, an update on Cold War II. America got a couple countries to stop selling China some computer chip technology that could be used to advance Beijing’s military ambitions.  Later, we close out the podcast with a listener question about Joe Biden sending in tanks and possibly fighter jets to Ukraine. My response involves some old advice from a guy named Dirty Harry. ----- Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. January 31st, 2023. The Cold War Returns?
1763
It’s January 31st. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got two big briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, there is a fight tomorrow at the White House, with Republicans squaring off against Joe Biden over the debt ceiling. I’ll give you a brief to help you sort through the arguments you’re going to hear — and decide who’s right. Second, get those maps and passports ready because we’re launching a new segment today called Cold War TWO. And that series is going to be focused on the global fight between China and the United States, much as there was a fight between America and the Soviet Union in decades gone by. So for today’s first episode, we’re going to travel around the world to check in on who has more friends, us or Beijing. Plus, we’ll remind ourselves of why we should care about this global competition. Later, we close out the podcast with a study on human nature — something pretty important in global affairs, actually. We look specifically at when kids can first tell that adults are telling them a fib or giving them a lame excuse. ----- Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. 1593
It’s January 30th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got five briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, an update on the Joe Biden Intel Scandal. We’ve now got notebooks of classified material to talk about. Not just a few pages. Second, the recent rains in California came down a little too hard, leaving farmers in a tough spot. The results will impact your grocery bill. Third, Hollywood is shipping some of its jobs to Mexico. I’ll tell you which ones. Fourth, an update from Ukraine, including how titanium mining might help explain part of the reason for why America and Europe are so keen to win. Fifth, we head to Fiji this morning where the new prime minister is turning towards America and away from China. Later, we close out the podcast with a listener question about my comment last Friday that America’s socialists actually think that communism is great. They call it advanced socialism. I’ll give you more details. ----- Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. January 27th, 2023. Bryan Is Wrong, Part 1.
1890
It’s January 27th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Today is our Special Brief about how Bryan is Wrong. It was an opportunity for you all to write in, tell me about how I was wrong about something, and offer up your view of what’s right. The first three topics this morning are on domestic affairs. First, we talk immigration — a fellow named Rowdy from Texas says I shouldn’t say the word migrant when discussing this issue and instead say immigrant. I’ll talk about the difference. Next, the Biden Intel Scandal. Rachel in South Carolina said it’s clear I have a bias for Donald Trump, because I’m giving him a pass about his intel scandal. So I’ll respond by telling you all a story I haven’t told anyone — Trump actually invited me to the White House in the summer of 2020. I’ll explain why, and how that actually connects to the Trump intel scandal. Third, Chris in Bloomington Illinois pointed out the fact that I don’t say President when describing Joe Biden. I only call him Mr. Biden. Why is that, Chris and others have wondered? I’ll explain. Then we shift gears to International Affairs. A listener named Sebastian says all I do is talk about Ukraine. Enough already. Well, Sebastian, I’ll share why it’s so important. ----- Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. 1591
It’s January 26th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, we’ve got some US economic data coming out today. I’ll explain what it is, and how it’s connected to our second brief on… Europe. They’ve also got some economic news, good news, that you should know about. Third, we head to the North African country of Libya where we’ve got an update involving oil and spies. Fourth, it’s another brief about spies and intrigue in Africa, this time about the Russians, gold, and a city named Ougagadogu.  Later, we close out the podcast with a listener question about the Assassination of John F. Kennedy. There’s been some reporting on that recently and a listener wondered, “Bryan, you sure have been quiet about that. I wonder why?” Well, today I’ll discuss it. ----- Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. January 25th, 2023. Another Intel Scandal... And Why These Classified Documents Matter.
1625
It’s January 25th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, we’ve got an update on America’s intel scandal. This time it’s not Joe Biden. A new politician says that he too had classified material at his home.  Second, we’ve got an update on Ukraine, with how global powers are doubling down on their investments in the war — with your money. Third, the country of Norway just announced a major commitment to oil and gas exploration. Environmentalists are outraged.  Fourth, we’ve got a poll showing where South Africans would rather live — either the US, Russia, or China. The results tell us a lot about / not just South Africa, but why the US is still a pretty exceptional place. Later, we close out the podcast with a personal observation about the US Treasury Secretary’s visit to Africa. She’s making a lot of promises for aid. But I’ve got a story from my time in southern Africa that suggest maybe we should proceed with caution when it comes to foreign aid. ----- Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. January 24th, 2023. Protests Continue in South America. What Impact Will This Have on You?
1756
It’s January 24th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, we start in Peru with the latest on growing protests there and how they’re impacting copper prices — and the global economy. Second, we head over to Brazil where the country’s president there is cracking down on protestors — and blaming Donald Trump for inspiring them. Third, the country of Turkey is slamming the door shut on expanding NATO. All because a politician in Sweden set fire to a very important book. Finally, we’re going to take a ride this morning in a hot air balloon — yeah — flying high above the American midwest to see something very beautiful — and very alarming if we don’t take action soon. Later, we close out the podcast with a study about the importance of kids putting down those phones and getting outside. January 23rd, 2023. The FBI Searched President Biden's Home and Found Even More Classified Documents
1873
It’s January 23rd. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got three big briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, the FBI searched Joe Biden’s home in Delaware late last week and they found more classified material. Meanwhile, Mr. Biden says he has no regrets about how he’s handled the growing scandal. We’ll talk about all of that. Second, a record number of illegal migrants crossed the southern border last month. I’ve got the details, to include the fact that an increasing number of those migrants are on the terrorist watch list. Third, get out those maps because we’re heading to Africa this morning. From Senegal in Western Africa, to Zambia in Central Africa, and then down to South Africa, where we’ve got an energy crisis to talk about that has ripple effects all the way to Ukraine — and maybe the United States.  Later, we close out the podcast with listener feedback, and this one’s a teaser for episode coming up this Friday, a show dedicated to you telling me that I’m wrong. It’s January 20th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, we’ve got some spies to talk about. One that was in Ukraine, and another just arrested in Russia. I’ve got details on both. Second, we’re off to Africa this morning to Timbuktu. And I mean the actual city of Timbuktu, located in the African country of Mali. The Russians are there, up to some sort of funny business. We’ll talk about it. Third, an update on America’s border wars. But this one has nothing to do with illegal drugs or illegal migrants. No, this one has to do with illegal eggs. Finally, a listener question about the Joe Biden Intel Scandal. Some experts are saying that Mr. Biden could have declassified some of those Top Secret documents sitting in his garage and library. I’ll explain why the answer to that is no, he did not have that authority. Later, we close out the podcast with the announcement of a new segment. I’m calling it — Bryan is Wrong. And I think you’ll like it — even if my ego doesn’t. ----- Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. Second, there are lots of headlines out this morning about China, from their economy to falling population numbers. I’ll sort through all of it, and share one thing that I guarantee nobody else is talking about. Third, I’ve got two pieces of good news. The first is on solar panels, actually, with a new supply chain that’s totally made in America. Fourth, some good news out of Texas. An oil refinery just got expanded there, and that means more diesel and gas, right when we need it most. Later, we close out the podcast with an update on the Joe Biden Intel Scandal. December 30th, 2022. Dirty Green Energy: Electric Vehicles
2136
It’s December 30th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Today is the final episode of our five part series this week on the Dirty Green Revolution. Over the past week, we’ve talked about solar panels, wind turbines, and the batteries that store and distribute their energy. But, as the facts make clear, none of that stuff is clean, green, or renewable at all, despite what proponents might say. It all comes with some pretty horrible costs.  And that’s why we call it Dirty Green Energy. Well today we’re wrapping up the series with the one thing that will touch us all profoundly about this Dirty Energy Revolution. And that’s Electric Vehicles. And that’s because over the past several months, the States of California, New York, Washington and others have passed laws saying that if you want to buy a new car starting in the year 2035, it must be electric. There will be no new, gas powered cars ever sold again in those states after that year. And it’s not just these states. Some car manufacturers are agreeing to that deadline it too. General Motors, for instance, has announced that they’ll stop building gas powered cars by 2035. So, folks, we have to talk about this. As consumers, yes, but also as a country. We have to understand whether we should embrace Electric Vehicles or should we do whatever it takes to stop or slow that industry down until we can address the very dirty facts about these cars. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. December 29th, 2022. Dirty Green Energy: Renewable Energy Batteries, Part 2.
1564
It’s December 29th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Today is Part IV of our Series on Dirty Green Energy — Or as some might say, “renewable energy” or “clean energy.” But always we here at the PDB are asking, “How clean or green is this stuff - really?” Well, so far we’ve discovered that solar panels are not clean or green. They use Chinese slave labor and lots of coal energy to create polysilicon.  And we know that wind energy is very dirty too. It’s killing America’s national bird — the bald eagle — but the federal government won’t tell us how many. How odd.  Then of course we have to talk about the batteries that store and distribute the dirty green power that comes from solar and wind.  Well, yesterday, we talked about the Dirty Minerals that go inside those batteries. And as we now know — Lithium and Cobalt in particular — are very dirty for America: they have to be mined in other countries, and in some cases, the people mining are little children, some only six years old. Today we’re looking at the next, dirty step in the battery process. We gotta explore the refining, the manufacturing, the life, and the ultimate death of these batteries. But before we get going, let’s remind ourselves of the goal of this Dirty Green Energy Series. It is not to degrade solar or wind or batteries because they deserve some sort of unique or targeted prosecution for their sins. Instead, it’s inform ourselves that Green Energy isn’t green at all, but rather very dirty, and we need to hold that industry to the same standards as we do for traditional forms of energy like oil, gas, and coal. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. December 28th, 2022. Dirty Green Energy: Renewable Energy Batteries, Part 1
1739
It’s December 28th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Welcome back to Part III of this week’s updated and refreshed series on Dirty Green Energy. Others might call it Renewable Energy, or Clean Energy. But not us, not here. That’s because we’re setting aside the spin and agendas, and instead we’re sticking to the facts. And it turns out, the facts and data say there’s nothing clean or green about the two issues we’ve already covered: solar and wind energy. Today we’re going to talk about batteries. Ah, but as it turns out, we need two different briefs on how dirty these things are. First we’ll tackle the minerals inside those batteries, and then — in tomorrow’s brief — we’ll talk about the dirty process of refining and manufacturing these batteries.  But before we begin: a reminder. The goal of this series is to remind ourselves of one very important and often ignored fact: every form of energy comes with a cost. Whether that be environmental, humanitarian, national security, or reliability. And we all know that’s true for traditional forms of energy like natural gas and oil. That’s why the media and politicians like to call it Dirty Oil or Dirty Coal. But we rarely if ever hear about those dirty costs related to solar, wind, and electric vehicles. Why is that? Hmm. Odd. Well here on the PDB we’re going to do what others won’t. We’re going to talk about facts and then let you decide whether it’s dirty or clean, and whether it’s smart for America to adopt this industry for its energy future. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. December 27th, 2022. Dirty Green Energy: Wind Farms
1745
It’s December 27th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ It’s day two of Dirty Green Energy — that’s this week’s updated and refreshed five part series looking at what many folks might otherwise know as Renewable Energy. And we’re focused on this issue for one simple reason:  Whether you like it or not, America is radically changing. We are being forced to drop oil, gas, and coal for things like solar, wind, and batteries to store their power. And that’s because proponents of this energy revolution say that climate change is an existential crisis.  And Renewable or Green energy will help stop it or even reverse it. But is that true? Yesterday we talked about Solar Energy and as it turns out, it is not clean, green, or renewable. It’s very dirty. That doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t buy it — that’s your choice. But know you know much more of the truth, and so you can purchase or support Dirty Green Solar Panels with your eyes wide open.  Well that was yesterday. Today we are talking about wind energy. So what do you think: are we going to find more dirty green facts about that wind energy? Oh yes, my friends, such much dirty to discuss. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. December 26th, 2022. Dirty Green Energy: Solar Panels
1750
It’s December 26th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ I’ve got an update, my friends. A Dirty Green Update. For folks new to the podcast, you might not know what that is. But I bet you’ve heard about Green Energy, or Renewable Energy. Yes, we’re talking about solar panels and wind turbines. Plus the batteries that store and distribute all of that energy. And of course who could forget electric vehicles in this Green Revolution!  But — and there’s always a but — how green is that green energy?  That’s not a question we hear asked much is it? Instead, we hear about dirty oil, dirty coal, and dirty natural gas. The argument goes that they’re all dirty because of their terrible environmental records. Their ties to foreign dictators. And, of course, their causing of climate change.  But what about Green Energy? Is it really green, clean, or renewable?  Well that’s what we’re digging into all this week. It’s an update and a refresh on my five part series of whether this new energy revolution is really the picture of purity that we are so often told / or rather are there dirty secrets that people would prefer we not talk about.  ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. It’s December 23rd. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, Germany’s got a spy problem. We’ll talk about how that could impact us here in America.  Second, an update on those explosions of Russia’s natural gas pipelines. Investigators are starting to rule out suspects. Third, we’ve got a sudden twist in the election in the country of Fiji. Unfortunately it could lead to violence. Finally — and this one’s just for fun — I’ve got some research for those of us who are older and can’t quite hear as well. Turns out you just have a very busy brain. I’ll explain that great excuse. Later, we close out the podcast with my observation on Joe Biden’s Christmas message from yesterday. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, we’ve got updates on the War in Ukraine which will leave us asking, when will this war ever end? I’ve got some answers.  Second, we head to Ireland where that country’s government has confirmed that some of their cows must die to stop climate change. Third, a poll of American voters show that most of us think that the southern border is wide open and we largely blame one person for making it worse. Fourth, we’ve got a storm of viruses floating around the country right now. Some of us might reach for a vitamin or supplement to help us heal up a little bit faster. But I’ll explain why that might not be a good idea. Later, we close out the podcast with an update about Joe Biden’s billion-dollar commitment to Africa that he made last week. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, Ukraine’s President is making a surprise stop in America today, meeting with Joe Biden and speaking with Congress later tonight. I’ve got that update, plus why some of the weapons we’ve sent to Ukraine aren’t working anymore. Second, news this morning out of the Pacific Island nations of Vanuatu and Fiji. I’ve got an update on whether China or America is gaining influence in that very important region.  Third, Joe Biden is refilling America’s emergency supply of oil, although not by very much. I’ll explain how that impacts you. Finally, a warning from America’s utility providers — they say that we’re replacing reliable energy with solar and wind, and that’s putting some parts of America at high risk of blackouts. Later, we close out the podcast with my thoughts on the scandal emerging from Twitter. Next, we travel to Vietnam, with that country replacing the United Kingdom on a very special list. Third, we head to Japan where the CEO of Toyota has some very blunt words to share about Dirty Green Energy. Finally, we stop in Canada where Chinese diplomats are there, encouraging world leaders to save the planet’s wildlife and wilderness. I’ll explain why that’s patently absurd. We’ll talk about how it might be connected to the War in Ukraine. Third, we head back to America for a brief on immigration. A national disaster is shaping up for Wednesday on our southern border. And won’t. I’ll explain why. Fourth, the Netherlands is telling its farmers that the end is near for the entire agricultural industry in that country. Has to do with climate change. Ukraine’s leaders are fighting each other.  Fourth, over 1,000 shipments of solar panels and parts are sitting in America’s ports. I’ll explain why none of it is getting installed. Finally, we have some preliminary data on Black Friday sales — and the health of the US economy. November 25th, 2022. Railroad Strike is Imminent, Will the Biden Admin Step In?
1414
It’s November 25th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world.   First, some good news and bad news out of Ukraine. And the good news will be welcomed by farmers and ranchers around the world. Second, the Biden Administration just approved of a major expansion of an oil project in Texas. That has environmentalists very surprised — and very angry. Third, America faces a possible rail-road strike in December. I’ve got a timeline that you should be watching for to get ahead of it. Finally, two pieces of medical news — one involving Monkey Pox and the other about why COVID-19 seems to have hit black and Hispanic folks harder than others. Later, I close out the podcast with a listener question about whether the solar and wind industry is really about climate change or rather destroying capitalism — and the West.  ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. November 24th, 2022. Thanksgiving Day Special: Jimmy Spessard, CIA Hero.
1211
It’s November 24th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Thanksgiving of 1989.  There was a home in Hagerstown, Maryland that was full of a lot of joy. Probably a lot like your home today.  The Spessard family was celebrating Thanksgiving, with a dad named Jimmy, his young wife Debra, and their two small sons, Jared and Jason. The next day Jimmy would be leaving town for a while. For two weeks, was the plan. He’s was heading to the country called Zaire – we now know that country as The Democratic Republic of the Congo. But as fate would have it, Thanksgiving of 1989 would be the last one that Jimmy would celebrate with his family. And you know what? He knew it. So today we’re going to remember and celebrate the life of Jimmy Spessard. He’s but one of the CIA Officers who died in the line of duty and is now remembered at CIA headquarters with a star chiseled into a very special marble wall in the Old Headquarters Building. I offer you this story of remembrance and celebration as we all gather today just like Jimmy did back in 1989. I hope it’s a wonderful reminder to us all of how thankful we ought to be to so many who have been of service to this country. And of the many more likely to come. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. It’s November 23rd. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got five briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, Dr. Tony Fauci delivered his final remarks at the White House before retirement, talking about COVID-19 booster shots. I’ll share what he said, to include some misinformation about COVID vaccines.  Second, some sobering news out of Los Angeles. That city is now one of the leading distribution centers for Chinese and Mexican fentanyl. Third, some good news out of California. A new-clear power plant just got a second life with a billion-dollar investment. Fourth, the wildfire season is officially over in the Western United States. I’ll explain why it was such a good year for landowners and loggers alike. Finally, more kids are graduating high school from West Virginia and Alabama, which both had struggled for years. I’ll share why it’s gotten better. And we later close out the podcast with some listeners who are upset with me / for sometimes calling solar and wind power Dirty Green Energy. I have a response. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. November 22nd, 2022. Special Brief: The Subtle War Over Renewable Energy
1491
It’s November 22nd. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got a Special Brief for you this morning that is shaping America — and the world. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have been traveling in Southeast Asia over the past week. Ms. Harris is in the Philippines this morning, while Mr. Biden was in Indonesia last week. Now most of the headlines during their travels have focused on things like China, climate change, and military cooperation. And all of that has degrees of merit. But there was one development that the headlines didn’t capture – and you probably didn’t hear about it either. Yet it’s the story of the most profound importance.  And not just for you and me or even America. But the entire world.  Because folks there’s a battle brewing this morning. It’s a battle over renewable energy. And depending on how it plays out, it could affect the balance of global power – and the lives of families just like yours. So grab your maps, ladies and gentlemen – on your computer, phone or in your mind – and come with me this morning on a trip around the world — with stops in Indonesia, South America, and the Congo.  And by traveling together we’ll come to understand the importance of this story that nobody else is talking about. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. 1345
It’s November 21st. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got five briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, an update on the War in Ukraine. Russia has two friends helping it out this morning. The first is the country of Iran – no surprise there. The second is the United States. That is a surprise. We’ll talk about that. Second, North Korea fired off a powerful missile late last week, one that can hit every state in our union. I’ll give you the details. Third, an update on the potential strike of America’s rail-road workers. I’ll refresh our memories on that story and tell you what to expect today. Fourth, some of Europe’s businesses are relocating to the United States, all because of our cheap, reliable energy. But recent events in Oregon and California suggest that that might not last much longer.  Finally, let’s end on a good note today, and let’s talk about a favorite subject of mine: coffee, especially from Brazil. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. It’s November 18th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got a few briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, Republicans have officially captured the House of Representatives. They’re promising to investigate Joe Biden and his family because of their foreign business deals. But is that fair? We’re going to look at the issue imagining that we’re investigators at the CIA. Second, Thanksgiving prices are way up this year. But in the future, they could be lower because the FDA just approved a new form of meat. And that is: chicken but grown in a laboratory. Yum. Second, we’ve got some crime numbers out this morning, with one company saying it’s bad and getting worse. Third, voters in Maryland and Missouri legalized marijuana last week. But I’ve got two studies just out that says, maybe they shouldn’t have. Fourth, the Biden Administration is saying that we’re about to see an historic wave of student loan defaults unless people get debt forgiveness. But is that true? I’ve some some data that provides the answer.  And finally, an update I promised you last week on the drought affecting the Mississippi River – and your pocket book. It’s November 16th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, an alarming development from the War in Ukraine – there was an explosion in the neighboring country of Poland. And they are blaming it on Russia. I’ll explain what’s going on, and why we’ve got to be very careful with what we’ll likely hear over the coming days. Second, China’s economy is in trouble. And that’s a good thing for America. I’ll dig into that story. Third, some bad news and good news related to America’s southern border. And the good news is fantastic news / if you or a loved one deals with addiction. Finally, an update on America’s Dirty Green Revolution. Forty coal-fired power plants are going to stick around for a while longer / because some solar panels aren’t ready for prime time. I’ve got three briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world.   First, Joe Biden met with China’s president yesterday, promising to reduce tensions and work towards peace. But odds are, we’re headed towards conflict. I’ll explain why.    Second, a warning from the National Fire Protection Association about a consumer product. And it has to do with Dirty Green Energy.   Third, some great news in the fight against cancer. A very simple form of exercise has been found to bring about a very big benefit. It’s November 14th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Good Day, America. I’ve got five briefs for you this morning that are shaping America — and the world. First, Joe Biden is traveling the globe. He stopped last Friday in Egypt talking climate change. But there wasn’t much more than talk to those meetings. I’ll discuss that.   Second, Mr. Biden’s next stop is in Indonesia, meeting with China’s president today amongst others. And there’s something very alarming that Pres. Xi said to his troops last week that Biden should be thinking about.   Third, an update on the War in Ukraine, with the US Military talking peace while US diplomats are talking war. I’ll explain that disconnect. Fourth, a judge put a stop to Joe Biden’s debt forgiveness to America’s students. I’ll explain why and what happens next. November 11th, 2022. Veteran's Day Special: Hugh Francis Redmond
1558
It’s November 11th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Seventy Seven years ago this month, there was a veteran in Yonkers, New York who was sitting at home after being discharged from the military, having been wounded in World War II. His name was Hugh Redmond. Today we’re going to re-tell the story of Hugh Redmond his incredible life, his service as an intelligence officer, and his eventual death. And the reason that we’re focusing on it today is because of events happening next week. Joe Biden is traveling to Asia and, based on reporting from Reuters News, he will likely meet the President of China. And it’s in China where Hugh Redmond died. A captive held for over 15 years by the Chinese Government, often in solitary confinement and often tortured. To this day, we’re not really sure what happened to Hugh — officials in Beijing told us a story at the time but neither the US Government nor Hugh’s family ever believed it. So today I want to remind us of Hugh’s story of courage, tenacity, and love of country all as America’s president goes face to face with China’s President. It’s a story worth re-telling, folks, because as PDB listeners know, we face the growing prospect of war between China and America. And if that happens, we are going to need men and women just like Hugh Redmond. A new generation of American fighters who are willing to sacrifice everything to ensure freedom and liberty for all. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. November 10th, 2022. Special Brief: Exploring the International Impact of Our Midterm Elections
1404
It’s November 10th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ We are two days out from America’s midterm elections. The Republicans have probably won the House of Representatives; confirmation likely sometime today. The Senate, however, is still up for grabs.   I’ll leave it to others to get into the nitty gritty of all that, but here’s the bottom line: assuming Republicans take control of the House, things are likely going to be different in Washington DC.   But how different will it be? That’s a question that not only Americans are asking this morning but also the politicians, diplomats, and spies in places like Mexico, China, and Russia.   And that will be the focus of today’s special brief: How will this election affect our foreign relations? And how will that affect you? Because that’s what I’m most interested in here at the PDB: how all this foreign stuff impacts your daily lives and that of your family.  ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. November 9th, 2022. Pentagon Confirms, American Boots on the Ground in Ukraine
1256
It’s November 9th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Well, the results are trickling in for America’s midterm elections. And we’ll talk more about those tomorrow and next week. But there’s still a lot of other stuff happening out there. So let’s do a Big Five Update. Five critical updates on stories we’ve covered previously that are shaping America — and the world. First, the Pentagon has admitted it has boots on the ground in Ukraine, with the goal of trying to understand what’s happening to all that weaponry we’re sending to Kiev.    Second, China’s looking to make a new friend in Central America, and the way that they’re doing it, is pretty sneaky. Third, a record number of Americans are moving to Mexico, of all places, but some Mexicans aren’t very happy about that. Fourth, there’s a pending rule by the US Government that could mean America’s farmers and ranchers have to track the greenhouse gas emissions on all of their operations. Finally, we’ve got another outbreak of bird flu in Iowa and that might mean higher chicken and turkey prices right before Thanksgiving. And that means we’re likely to hear some pretty outrageous claims from the politicians who lose. So we’re going to cover those claims and let you decide whether The End is Near, as some are saying, or rather that America is alive and pretty darn well. And then, to close out the podcast, we’ll wrap up with three awesome questions from listeners. First, North Korea is launching missiles and, apparently, sending weaponry to Moscow.  Second, an update on the War in Ukraine. You might be hearing more talk of peace, but don’t believe it. I’ll explain why. Third, countries around the world are angry at the White House this morning because these foreign governments want some of Joe Biden’s Dirty Green Energy Cash. And he’s not sharing. Fourth, speaking of Mr. Biden, he kicked up quite a storm on Friday over coal plants. Shut them all down, he said. I’ll explain. Finally, some good news to start the week. We’re going to do a deep dive into how this drug starts in China, transits into Mexico, and ends up in your hometown. And we’re doing this today so that you can decide, as you vote next week, which politician or party is most likely to do something about this terrible killer. 1396
It’s November 3rd. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ It’s election time, but not just here in America. There’s one country in Europe where voters just put back into power a prime minister who slaughtered 15 million animals over COVID fears. We’re going to talk about the lessons that leaves for voters here in America. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, America’s college freshmen and sophomores are struggling this year with the basics — like reading and math — all because of COVID policies when they were in high school. I’ll share what school administrators are finding.  Second, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates yesterday to reverse inflation. All dirty because of their environmental record, plus their tie to foreign dictators.  Well today begins a five part series on Dirty Green. We’ll explore the debate of whether renewable energy is really the picture of purity that we are so often told or whether there are dirty secrets to the environment and connections to dictators abroad. Well now he’s got his first test: rumors about something that happened at the home of Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. We’ll talk about why these developments are such big deal — even if you don’t use Twitter. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, an outbreak of COVID at an Apple factory in China has workers cutting through fences to escape being locked down. Second, and speaking of COVID, there’s a new Senate report out on how COVID started in China. They have evidence it probably came from that Lab in Wuhan. And as always, we’ve got a listener question. October 10th, 2022. Columbus Day Brief.
1795
Today is Columbus Day. I sure hope you’re spending it in celebration, maybe some rest too.  Regardless, today we are going to remind ourselves of the incredible story of Douglas Seymour MacKiernan. It’s part of the series I like to do on holidays, to highlight my brothers and sisters at the CIA who have died in line of duty — I want to share their lives and their sacrifice. And Douglas Seymour MacKiernan, what an example of that.  For decades no one knew his story. And that’s not surprising, he worked undercover. But this morning we should talk about him. Because it’s an extraordinary story, not only for the time in which he lived but for us too. Because the enemy that he faced — Communist China — is the same one that we face today. So come with me on this journey, one that starts in Mexico City, onward to Massachusetts, then ends on a patch of frozen ground in China, just a few feet shy of what would have been Doug MacKiernan’s freedom. All that, plus what Doug’s life means for America now, on this special edition of the President’s Daily Brief. We’ll be right back. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

1635
It’s October 5th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ We’ve got a Special Edition of the PDB this morning. It’s a totally new episode on the Dirty Green Revolution. And today it’s all about Electric Vehicles. For those unaware, we had a four part series, starting on September 12th, that look into solar, wind, batteries, and the mining of materials to make those batteries.  The goal was to apply a critical eye towards these renewable industries and ask whether they’re really as green and without cost as proponents tell us.  Well one thing we didn’t look into a few weeks back was Electric Vehicles. And it’s really important that we do. The reason: Joe Biden signed a $370B bill last month, with billions to make sure you buy one of these electric vehicles.  Plus, in the past two weeks, the States of California, New York, and others have passed laws banning the sale of new, gas powered vehicles by the year 2035. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. It’s September 15th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ We’ve got the final brief today on Dirty Green — that’s this week’s series on whether renewable energy is as green as proponents say or, instead, if it’s full of dirty secrets.  Today we’re talking batteries. And I mean everything from the refiners, the manufacturers, and what happens when these specialized batteries stop working. Here’s a hint: they’re starting fires and causing over a $1B dollars in damages. That’s coming up. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put this one on your radar. The pending rail-road strike is one day closer to happening. It’s an hour by hour cliff hanger, and I’ve got the latest, including how Queen Elizabeth’s funeral could throw a monkey wrench into solving the crisis. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. 1649
It’s September 14th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Joe Biden is slated to be in Michigan today, celebrating electric vehicles and green energy. But what he probably won’t be celebrating are all the Dirty Green secrets buried inside those cars, secrets that the PDB is sharing all this week. Today we’re talking about perhaps the dirtiest secret of all: mining for the minerals that go into the batteries that fuel the dirty green revolution. That’s coming up. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put this one on your radar. We’ve got a potential rail-road strike to talk about, and it could make our bad inflation much, much worse. And finally, the last thing before I let you go. 1454
It’s September 13th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ It’s day two of this week’s series called Dirty Green — we’re asking whether renewable energy is really green or instead there are environmental and national security costs that people would rather we not discuss. Yesterday we talked about Dirty Solar. And my goodness it is dirty.  Today we’re talking wind energy. And we have got some dirt to discuss. That’s coming up. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, an update on last week’s story out of California and the new law increasing Fast Food workers minimum wage to $22 an hour. Second, most Americans want less immigration. That’s the finding of a new poll from Gallup. We’ll discuss it. And finally, the last thing before I let you go. A question from a very cranky listener who doesn’t like what I have to say about China and climate change. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. 1642
It’s September 12th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ For years we’ve heard about dirty oil, dirty coal, and dirty natural gas. Today, we kick off the series exploring solar panels. That’s coming up. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put this one on your radar. An important update on the War of Attrition in Ukraine — one about recent battles, and a second about a $60B bill that you’re going to have to pay. And finally, the last thing before I let you go. Third, the Battle for the South Pacific continues, with an alarming development out of the Solomon Islands.  Fourth, Europe and the United States are buying more Russian aluminum this year than last — this is an important brief. Finally, Russia’s Vladimir Putin says he might walk away from the wheat deal he made with Ukraine. We’ll talk about why. Plus, one more thing before I let you go. Five critical updates on stories we’ve covered previously that are shaping America — and the world. First, a Border War update. New York City is running out of hotel rooms to house illegal migrants. They’re looking at summer camps instead.   Second, an Update on America’s Economy. Credit card interest rates just hit at a record high. Third, an update on Joe Biden’s Climate Change bill. Fourth, an Asian country is mysteriously selling more oil than they pump out of the ground.  Finally, and speaking of oil, Europe is still buying it from Russia. A whole lot of it. September 6th, 2022. The Attrition War in Ukraine's Impact on Europe.
1660
It’s September 6th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Today is a Special Edition of the PDB. All because of a protest in Europe. Last Saturday, about 70,000 people in the Czech Republic gathered to protest the war in Ukraine and their outrage at higher electricity prices stemming from the war.  It is the first time we’ve seen something of this magnitude over the War of Attrition — which of course is the battle between Russia, Ukraine, and the West.  Today we’re going to talk about this first big protest in the Czech Republic, plus another one planned in Germany, and then explore how bad things are really getting inside of Europe. As always, we’ll talk about why this is so important to us — even though it’s thousands of miles away. And of course I’ve also got a response to a listener question before we end the podcast.  ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. But not one group of workers they’re 6,000 miles away in China, toiling in fields and factories by force. We’ll discuss what we know, how it got this bad, and what we might do to help. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, the Biden Administration is set to ask Congress for another $11.7B for Ukraine after burning through the $40B authorized in May. Second, Mexican workers in the US are sending money back home in record amounts — over $5B just last month. And finally, the last thing before I let you go. It’s September 2nd. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Welcome to a special edition of the PDB this morning: We’re back to a Big Five Update. Five critical updates on stories we’ve covered previously that are shaping America — and the world. First, some good economic news: America’s Manufacturers are holding steady in the face of a recession.    Second, some bad economic news: America’s farmers are getting hit with record-setting expenses. Third, a sliver of hope in the Wheat Wars: a ship is unloading grain this morning that will help feed 1.5M people. Fourth, you will not believe what parents in China are having to do to get their kids to school, all because of Beijing’s Zero COVID policy. Finally, the CDC admitted that they botched their COVID response but we continue to learn just how bad it was. The latest: how badly they damaged our health. Plus, one more thing before I let you go. The Main Brief today and all week is chosen by you — things we’ve discussed before but updated with new information, new data, and fresh analysis. First, there was a random shooting in Bend, Oregon on Monday — the attacker killed two people before killing himself. And his story is like so many before — a young man falling into violence. So we’re going to talk about the patterns we keep seeing in these shooting — school violence especially — with a focus on what we can all do to help. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, an update on the Battle for the South Pacific. More trouble in the Solomon Islands this morning. Finally, some good news on gas prices. But the reason for those lower prices is not so good. And wrapping up the podcast this morning, a listener question about the raid of Pres. 1452
It’s August 31st. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ It’s a Special PDB this morning. The Main Brief today and all week is chosen by you — things we’ve discussed before but updated with new information, new data, and fresh analysis. First, we are back at the ringside fight between Russia and Ukraine. Last week we used a boxing analogy to try to understand the punches being thrown, with one by America and Europe aimed at Russia’s economy. We’re of course talking about the economic sanctions. So how did that punch land? Is Russia on the economic ropes? We’ll discuss the data, plus a reminder of why this story is so important to you and your family. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, some California solar panels that just might be a win-win for everybody. Second, North Korea’s leader has COVID. That could mean bad news for our men and women in uniform. Finally, we wrap up the podcast with a question from a listener. The Main Brief today and all week is chosen by you — things we’ve discussed before but updated with new information, new data, and fresh analysis. SO, FIRST UP THIS MORNING,  Governments around the world want to stop climate change by slaughtering cows or taxing them out of existence. That was a story from New Zealand that I brought you in early June. Since then, we’re seeing the same thing in The Netherlands and Ireland as well. So we’ll talk about what’s going on globally, why you should care. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. Ukraine is punching back against the Russians this morning. We’ve got two related radar briefs. First, Russia is releasing their natural gas into the atmosphere rather than sell it to Europe. I’ve got those details. Second, the European people are preparing for a very cold winter without Russian natural gas. I’ll share their plans to keep warm. And, as always, a question from a listener. The Main Brief today and all week is chosen by you — things we’ve discussed before but updated with new information, new data, and fresh analysis. First, vaccine mandates. Kids are going back to school and need certain shots. Including COVID jabs in some places. But should they? To help us think through that debate, we’ll start with this question: Why Is There No Mandate At Schools for A Flu Shot? Well, we’ve got some good science to answer that question, coming up. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, Cuba is asking for America’s help to fix a gas problem. I’ve got that interesting story. August 25th, 2022. Special Brief: The Fight in Ukraine.
1420
It’s August 25th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Welcome to this Special Edition of the PDB. This week marks the six month anniversary of war in Ukraine. We have seen so many twists and turns, so many developments, that it’s been overwhelming at times. And maybe that’s why polls show Americans are kind of losing interest.  A mid-July Fox News poll showed 69% of us were concerned about Russia’s invasion, but that’s down from 82% in March. In terms of overall concern, the issue of Ukraine ranked sixth of eight issues tested. But it’s still a major story, with one clear reason: it’s costing you billions of dollars — at least $13.5B so far. To give you a sense of how shocking that is, when we were fighting in Afghanistan in 2019, we committed around $5B. Again, $13.5B for one year in Ukraine, $5B in Afghanistan. Plus, there’s a very real concern that this war could escalate and cause us to fight a much bigger war with a nuclear-armed Russian. That would mean your friends and neighbors would be involved in the most horrifying battle that the globe has ever seen. So, we are going to remind ourselves of this complicated story this morning. We’re going to do a recap of the past six months. But don’t worry, I’m going to use an analogy to help us through it. This is going to be a little unconventional, so hang with me. I want you to think of this brief like you’re watching a boxing match. So get out those maps, fire up some theme music from Rocky, settle in for six months of punches and counterpunches.  ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ First, Joe Biden will likely announce today that he is canceling some of America’s student loan debt. But should he? And do people really need that debt relief? We’ll talk numbers, and why there might be a better way to help struggling students. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, the CDC admitted last week that they failed in their COVID pandemic response. We have data out this morning that show just how bad they failed, in this case, they failed America’s kids. Second, the United States has $7B of cash sitting a New York Bank that belongs to the Government of Afghanistan. Should we give it back to them? Joe Biden’s thinking about it. I’ll explain. But here’s a question: when people plug those cars in, how green is their electric fuel? That’s an important part of this debate, and that is coming up shortly. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put this one on your radar. The Chinese Government is after America’s cows. Well, we think so. They’ve hacked some agricultural software, and it’s left experts stumped. I’ll explain that bizarre story. And finally, the last thing before I let you go. But missing in the coverage is a very important Supreme Court case that suggests there is something very rotten about this raid, even unconstitutional. That’s coming up. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, some very good news in the Wheat Wars. A big shipment of wheat set sail this morning from Ukraine to an African country that’s on the verge of starvation. I’ve got the latest. Second, the State of Arizona is finishing part of the wall on our southern border a wall that the Biden Administration refused to complete. It’s a pretty bold move, and I’ll explain why. And finally, one last thing before I let you go. A question this morning from Rebecca in Danville, Virginia. August 12th, 2022. CDC Removes COVID Restrictions. Ukraine Government Orders Citizens to Purchase More Weapons.
1573
It’s August 12th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ First, the Center for Disease Control announced new COVID recommendations yesterday, rolling back lots of restrictions. You may have seen that story but what you probably didn’t see is that half of America plans to ignore that advice; they refuse to move on. We’re going to discuss who those people are, and why their refusal matters. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, the biggest fire in Cuba’s history is out, but the crisis is just beginning. And that could mean a rush of migrants to our southern border. I’ll update you on that development. Second, Ukraine’s top law-enforcement official says that, once the war with Russia is over, everybody should buy more guns. That’s a big policy change for that country. We’ll discuss it. And finally, one more thing before I let you go. Two questions from listeners, one about solar panels and the other about wanting some good news. So we’ll talk about that. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com Learn more about your ad choices. August 11th, 2022. Special Brief: Hawaii, a Case Study of Our Upcoming Energy Crisis.
1539
It’s August 11th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Welcome to this Special Edition of the President’s Daily Brief.  And it’s very special indeed, because America is about to undergo an energy revolution. There is a $380B climate change bill that is set to pass the House of Representatives tomorrow following its previous passage in the Senate. After tomorrow’s vote, it heads to the desk of Joe Biden who will sign it. That means, soon enough, states in this country will be changing the way we power our lives — our cars, our homes, our businesses — everything. So how will this energy revolution work? And will it work? Well, we have a test case this morning that we’re going to talk about: the state of Hawaii. They’ve been at it for seven years now. And if Hawaii is any indication, we are gonna see a real green energy mess.  That cautionary tale is the focus of today’s Special Edition of the PDB — it’s a deep dive into what went wrong, why, and lessons that you can learn for your state. And, as always, I’ve got one more thing before I let you go. A comment from a listener named Ryan // he emailed and suggested I’m a lazy conservative and wrong to say that the NY Times and Washington Post are Democrat newspapers. So I’ll give you the data and history on these two newspapers, and then you can decide who’s right. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. August 10th, 2022. Big Five Update: Inflation. Boots on the Ground in Ukraine. Wheat Wars. Fentanyl from China. COVID Vaccines in Children.
1392
It’s August 10th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ We’ve got a Big Five Update this morning. Five critical updates on five stories that are shaping America — and the world. First up, the federal government is out with inflation numbers this morning. I’ve got an update on where the all-important natural gas prices fit in that picture. Second, the Canadian and US Governments don’t want you to hear about something in Ukraine. I’ll share it with you anyway. Third, the Wheat Wars are settling down, ships are getting to market. Except for one. I’ll explain that. Fourth, the White House is angry at China this morning and it has to do with fentanyl. Finally, parents are holding off getting their littlest kids vaccinated from COVID. I’ll explain that data. Plus, an email from Eric in Louisiana. He had a few cuss words he wanted to share about the FBI. I’ll give you a clean version of what he said and we’ll discuss. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. August 9th, 2022. Breaking: Former President Donald Trump is Raided by the FBI.
1653
It’s August 9th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Today is a Special Edition of the PDB. And that’s because of what happened yesterday in Florida. The home of former president Donald Trump was raided by the FBI.  So today we’re going to talk about that — what we know, what we don’t — but most especially I’m going to discuss the central question that you, me and other Americans are now going to have to wrestle with. Do you trust the FBI?  Because if the answer is yes, then this development yesterday in Florida doesn’t bother you much. It’s standard procedure for an FBI that is professional, and just doing their jobs as the rules and law allow. But is that true? Is there anything in the recent past that might give a reasonable person pause about the FBI? Because if so, that might suggest that this raid, this investigation in Florida is anything but proper or legal. So that’s what we’re going to wrestle with this morning as this major story develops.  And as always, I’ll offer up one more thing before I let you go, a note from Lindsey in Oregon. And it’s a good question about hope. Which perhaps is something we could all use. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. August 8th, 2022. Democrat Mayors Finally Start Addressing Illegal Immigration. Pelosi Visits Taiwan, China Responds.
1566
It’s August 8th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ First, Democrat Mayors are blasting Republican Governors in Texas and Arizona this morning for bussing illegal migrants into their towns. We’re going to look at the numbers and you can decide whether or not their outrage is warranted. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, China conducted war games over the weekend, all because of Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. I’m going to explain the latest, and how it could dramatically impact your life. Second, there was a lighting strike in Cuba late last week that actually could lead to more illegal migrants at our southern border in the future. I’ll explain that curious connection.  And finally, one last thing before I let you go. A quick update on my request for direct-to-consumer beef providers, and also I share the replies that some of you’ve gotten from your Senators and Representatives. ------ Please remember to subscribe if you enjoyed this episode of the President's Daily Brief. 1267
It’s August 5th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ First, there are Afghan terrorists in America but the FBI has lost track of them. That’s the alarming admission made yesterday by the FBI Director. We’ll discuss the latest. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First up, the Chinese Government and its partners have bought over 200,000 acres of American land — including 300 acres near a key Air Force Base. I’ll share the latest on attempts to roll back those purchases. Second, an update on the War for the South Pacific. As PDB listeners might recall, there’s a big fight between America and China over influence in the South Pacific — with Hawaii in the crosshairs. I’ve got an update on our government’s efforts to claw back power in the region.  And finally, one more thing before I let you go. Questions and comments from listeners, this one from Jeremy in Topeka, Kansas. He’s skeptical that Africa should be of interest to Americans. August 4th, 2022. Big Five Update: Wheat Wars. Ukraine/Russia. Biden and Xi. Bug-Fed Cows? Gas Prices.
1453
It’s August 4th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ It’s the Big Five Update this morning on the PDB. Five briefs on five topics that I’ve discussed with you before with some important updates. First, the Wheat Wars. On Monday the first ship out of Ukraine set sail for the Middle East. But how far did it get? I’ve got that for you. Second, the War of Attrition. The fight between Russia and Ukraine battles on, with American taxpayers propping up Kiev. But what about Russia? How’s their economy these days? I’ve got the latest. Third, last week Joe Biden held a phone call with China’s President Xi. So what’d they talk about? We don’t know for sure. And that is a problem. I’ll explain. Fourth, fans of climate change want to slaughter all of America’s cows. We talked about that this week. But some people think we can save them by changing their feed to bugs. I’ve got that tasty story. And finally on this Big Five Update, gas and diesel prices are going down. And that’s good. Well, not exactly. I’ll explain the reason why none of us should cheer for the reasons behind the drop. And of course, I’ve got one more thing before I let you go, an email today from Tiffany from somewhere in America. She wants to know about that controversial CIA recruitment ad that some of you may have seen. 1611
It’s August 3rd. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ First, Washington DC is targeting the nation’s cattle this morning, all because of climate change. But this is really about so much more. I’ll discuss what that is and what you can do about it. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, public confirmation this morning that American intelligence is directing missile attacks against the Russians in Ukraine. I’ve got the details on this very dangerous development. Second, the tensions between China and Taiwan took an unexpected twist in recent days, and not because of Nancy Pelosi’s visit. It has to do with companies leaving over the prospect of war. I’ll explain. And finally, one more thing before I let you go, the segment on emails from listeners. I got one from Rachel in Clarksville, Tennessee. She asked if I ever got nervous working for CIA and if I was taught how to handle that anxiety. She wants some tips on how to think like a spy! 1376
It’s August 2nd. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ First, Al-Qa’ida’s leader Ayman al-Zawahri is dead. I’ll give you the latest on this very good news, to include what this death means in our War on Terror. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, you may have seen the headlines about the horrible fires in Europe over the past couple weeks. Media outlets blamed climate change. But there was an arrest last week in France that suggests otherwise. We’ll discuss that sobering news. Second, American car companies are building more electric cars, which means they need more batteries. That’s leading many of them to sign deals with the Chinese. I’ll share the latest. And finally, the last thing before I let you go. An email from Charlie in Twin Falls, Idaho. He worries that America is cracking apart, and that maybe we are headed for a civil war. First, today is a big day for the Wheat Wars. Ukraine’s first ship of agricultural goods set sail into open waters. I’ll explain what to look for, and why it matters. Second, America’s top diplomat is off to Africa next week, to Rwanda and the Congo. Savvy listeners might remember why those nations are so important. It has to do with batteries. We’ll discuss. And finally, one last thing before I let you go. A question from Rick from New Mexico. 1519
It’s July 29th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ First up, The US Senate announced a big bill yesterday to address climate change. One of the reasons to pass it, supporters are saying, is that it gives America the moral authority to demand other nations to follow our lead. We’ll discuss whether that is convincing.  As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is flying to Asia today. Will she stop in Taiwan? Joe Biden’s telling her not to. I’ll explain why. Second, we have some new numbers out on who’s trying to cross our southern border. It’s a wave of Cubans. We’ll talk about why. And finally, the last thing before I let you go. Questions from listeners. Five today. Mostly lighthearted, a couple serious. We’ll discuss what’s happening, and a request for how you might. Fourth, the Border Patrol is reporting how many illegals have slipped past them. It’s a big number, folks. And finally, a connection between the common cold and COVID-19. It might explain why some people get mild symptoms — or none at all. But will this war on corruption work? I’ve got the answer, coming up. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put this one on your radar. Your electricity bill for July is probably gonna go up — way up, especially if your local utility uses natural gas. I’ve got the four reasons for that, plus what we can do about it. And finally, “one last thing before I let you go." That’s the new segment where I answer questions or address comments from listeners. Today it’s Jackie in Chico, California. Your morning intel starts now. ------ First, Joe Biden confirmed yesterday that he’s going to talk to China’s leadership this week, chatting about Taiwan, the economy and the climate. So this morning we’re going to dive into their climate conversation — and that China’s actually building more coal plants because they don’t have faith in renewables. We’ll discuss.  As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, the Natural Gas Wars took another nasty turn yesterday. Russia’s cutting their supply to Europe by half, starting tomorrow. I’m going to explain the game that Moscow is playing. Second, by now you’ve seen the headlines: Monkeypox is a global health emergency. I’m going to remind us that the big development here is not in the United States, but in the Congo, where something very strange is happening.  And finally, a comment from Jack in Indianapolis about Afghanistan, al-Qa’ida, and how he does not want us to go back — no matter what. We had a deal late last week between Russia and Ukraine to get some of that trapped wheat to market. Well, that plan blew up. Literally. I’ll explain. Finally, an update on the Natural Gas Wars. July 21st, 2022. Special Brief: Mexican President AMLO Laughs at Biden and Trudeau.
1371
It’s July 21st. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Today is a Special Brief about a growing threat just under the radar, and just under our Southern Border. Not the cartels this time. Not even drugs or gang violence. This morning we’re going to talk about Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. His nickname is AMLO for short. Yesterday he said something remarkable when he was asked about a trade dispute that filed by Joe Biden and Justin Trudeau, who’s the Prime Minister of Canada.  President AMLO said “Ohhh I’m soooo scared,” when he was asked of Biden’s trade dispute filing, and then he followed that up by saying, “Nothing will happen.” Now I’ve never heard any Mexican President be so audaciously dismissive towards America or American leadership. And so this morning we’re going to unpack exactly what’s going on — who this character AMLO is — and what to do about it. Because his statements yesterday are a flashing red light that things aren’t well in Mexico City, the capital of a country that we share a 2,000 mile long border with, and happens to be a major trade partner.  The consequences could be very dire for you and every other American if we don’t quickly see what’s happening. Your morning intel starts now. ------ Email: PDB@TheFirstTV.com First up, Joe Biden is in Massachusetts this morning, talking up green energy, and most especially off-shore wind projects. Odds are, though, he’s not going to tell America the full story about wind energy, and that it’s not that green. We’ve got a deep dive on the facts, coming up. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put this one on your radar. Congress just took a really important vote. Now some might say it’s about interracial and gay marriage, but that’s not why it’s important. Instead, it’s really about fixing our government. 1213
It’s July 18th. You’re listening to the President’s Daily Brief. Your morning intel starts now. ------ First up, some good news on America’s southern border. Fewer illegal migrants tried to cross into the country last month. And the reason? A Texas politician is playing hardball with the Mexican Government and their businesses. I’ll explain. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, Ukraine’s got a spy problem. Hundreds of espionage cases. And all of that could put Joe Biden’s $50B worth of weapons and aid at serious risk. That’s coming up. Finally, the US Secret Service — which guards the president — is buying Chinese drones that the Pentagon says are a threat to national security. As always, I’m keeping an eye out for developing stories. Put these two on your radar. First, the Natural Gas Wars in Europe are hitting France hard, and their industries are launching a war-time effort to get ready for a very cold winter. During this morning’s special PDB, we’re going to quickly cover decades worth Washington DC’s attempts to deal with China — either by negotiations or strongly worded speeches.  I’m going to make the case to you for why that approach has failed. He has written about this political journey for multiple press outlets — from Fox News.com to LA Times — and appeared on TV programs like Tucker Carlson Tonight.
