Description

What happens when you try to build a creative life while also being a responsible adult?

Disorder. But delightfully so.

Pain In The Arts is hosted by Breallyn Wesley: writer, copywriter, and novelist in progress, and her husband Lyndon: a musician, studio owner, and producer.

Every week, one of them brings a topic. The other finds out what it is at the same time you do.

That means the conversation is genuinely unscripted, which means you hear the real first reaction, the pivot when someone doesn't agree and the occasional moment where one of us says something we probably should have thought through more carefully!

Topics include creative burnout, imposter syndrome, the mid-career artist dilemma, guarding your creative process, self-promotion for independent artists and what it means to keep making things when real life keeps getting in the way. Occasional guest interviews with working artists who are living proof it can be done.

New episodes every Tuesday.
