Along the way there are remarkable discoveries, unexpected encounters, old maps, metal detectors, muddy boots, plenty of wrong turns and, more often than not, a pint at the end of the day.

This isn’t history viewed through a dusty museum cabinet. Its history held, unearthed in the landscape where it actually happened.
