RWR is a podcast for curious learners of Russian at every stage: beginners, advanced speakers, and those in between. It is also designed for teachers of Russian as a foreign language looking for authentic and engaging audio material.

Russian, but without politics. Culture, but without propaganda. Explained calmly, clearly, and sometimes with humour.

This is not a course and not a series of traditional grammar lessons. There are no drills or textbook-style exercises. Instead, you will hear living Russian speech: reflections, stories, dialogues, short readings, spontaneous associations, and conversations with guests. The format allows space for thought, for digressions, and for real language as it actually sounds.

The podcast is based on a simple principle: to learn a language, you must hear it regularly and in meaningful contexts. Each episode offers thoughtful, carefully spoken Russian that strengthens listening skills, expands vocabulary, and deepens cultural understanding.

Every episode is accompanied by a PDF script with the full text and concise lexical or grammatical comments for independent study. A separate translation can also be provided to support deeper comprehension and comparison.
