Splits is a weekly podcast that pulls back the curtain on some of the most high-profile celebrity breakups in pop culture. Hosted by TMZ’s Derek Kaufman and Katie Hayes, the show blends sharp legal insight with compelling storytelling to explore not just how famous relationships end, but why. Each episode traces a celebrity couple’s journey from its beginnings through its peak and eventual collapse, examining the personal dynamics, public pressures, and cultural impact along the way. From Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Splits dives deep into the headline-making breakups that captivated the public, unpacking everything from whirlwind romances and power-couple ascents to the fractures beneath the surface. Through carefully researched analysis and entertaining banter, the podcast explores the mental health struggles, substance abuse issues, and explosive allegations that often turn private disputes into public spectacles, while also examining the aftermath, including custody battles, financial settlements, career fallout, and the challenges of rebuilding life in the spotlight. At its core, Splits is about more than celebrity gossip—it’s an exploration of the intersection of fame, relationships, and consequence, revealing how personal love stories become global narratives and how the end of a high-profile romance can reshape both the people involved and the culture watching it unfold in real time.
