Emergency Peristyle Podcast - USC quarterback Jaxson Dart has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal
2728
Peristyle Podcast hosts Keely Eure and Ryan Abraham are returned to the studio to discuss the breaking news that true freshman quarterback Jaxson Dart has decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal and explore his options with other teams. Dart is the second USC QB to enter the portal this off-season, following Kedon Slovis who has already transferred to Pittsburgh. The Dart news comes at an interesting time with Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams in Los Angeles over the weekend, attending the Rams game and the Lakers game. Rumors are rampant that Williams would follow his former head coach Lincoln Riley to USC, so Keely and Ryan give their thoughts on the Williams rumors and Dart entering the portal. They also talk about former Oklahoma wide receiver Mario Williams and the chances he follows Riley to USC and the Tweet from freshman tight end Michael Trigg stating that he has entered the NCAA Transfer Porta as well (although he isn't currently listed in the portal). They end the show going over the newly announced assistant coaching staff for Riley, with 9 new names plus former USC interim head coach Donte Williams making up the staff. Plus as always they answer all of the listener questions over email, voicemail and text messages. Please review, rate and subscribe to the Peristyle Podcast on Apple Podcasts! As USC limps towards the finish line, the 2021 football season can't end soon enough
4417
Peristyle Podcast hosts Keely Eure and Ryan Abraham are back in studio reluctantly discussing what was yet another historic loss in the Coliseum, this time falling 62-33 to crosstown rival UCLA. It was the most points scored by the Bruins in the rivalry and by the end of the game, it just didn't seem like the Trojans even wanted to be on the field. Unfortunately for them, there are still two games left against an opponent that is a better version than UCLA (BYU) and an opponent that started off the season poorly, but is now playing really good football (Cal). USC technically still has bowl eligibility to play for, but that would mean pulling the upset two weeks in a row. Keely and Ryan talk about the Trojans playing out the string as them limp towards the finish line and await the announcement of the next head coach. Speaking of that announcement, they also talk about some of the top candidates on the board and how the timing of the announcement could work going forward. Plus as always they answer all of the listener questions over email, voicemail and text messages. Please review, rate and subscribe to the Peristyle Podcast on Apple Podcasts! Coach Harvey Hyde on USC's embarrassing 62-33 loss to UCLA
3183
In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast Coach Harvey Hyde and Ryan Abraham are back trying to make sense of yet another absolute beatdown in the not-so-friendly confines of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, with UCLA putting up 62 points on the Trojans, the most ever by the Bruins in the rivalry. Coach Hyde talks about what he saw out on the field, how the defense couldn't get anything going after the first couple of drives and how he feels true freshman quarterback Jaxson Dart did in his first start. The guys also talk about what USC fans can expect from the remaining two games, both of which the Trojans need to win in order to become bowl eligible. Speaking of bowl eligible, should that even be a goal at this point for USC, or do they need to simply let this season come to an end and move on to whoever the next head coach will be? 3992
Tunnel Vision crew of Keely Eure, Shotgun Spratling and Ryan Abraham are back and ready to discuss what turned into yet another historic defeat in the not-so-friendly confines of the Coliseum, with USC getting absolutely pasted by UCLA 62-33. It was the most points ever scored on the Trojans by the Bruins and it tied for the most points ever given up by the Trojans. The crew will discuss what they saw from this epic beatdown, what the players and coaches had to say about the loss and if there is any hope for the final two games of the season. They also get into some of the injuries suffered during the game plus they give their thoughts on USC's ongoing head coaching search. Dart and the rest of the Trojans will try to make in three wins in a row against Chip Kelly's Bruins on Saturday. The crew will breakdown this game with UCLA, talking about the strengths and weaknesses of both teams including if USC will be able to stop the Bruins potent running attack and if the Trojans can take advantage of a bad UCLA secondary. Special guest Gerard Martinez breaking down USC's struggling 2022 recruiting class and the Trojans head coaching search
6302
In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast host Ryan Abraham welcomes in a special guest to talk about the Trojans recruiting class and head coaching search, USCFootball.com national recruiting analyst Gerard Martinez. The last time Gerard was on the show it was an early morning emergency podcast following USC's loss to Oregon State. This episode isn't technically an emergency podcast, but following the de-commitment of five-star defensive back Domani Jackson, dropping the Trojans recruiting class to No. 67 in the nation and No. 9 in the Pac-12, it very well could be. Gerard and Ryan give their thoughts on if there is any way to salvage this 2022 recruiting class plus they talk about some of the top names that are candidates to become the next head coach at USC and how their hires could impact recruiting. The guys also answer some listener questions including one about the secrecy of the search by the athletic department and if we think Donte Williams will be retained by the next head coach. Peristyle Podcast hosts Keely Eure and Ryan Abraham are back in studio in what should have been a preview show for this weekend's match-up with the California Golden Bears, but due to a major COVID-19 outbreak in Berkeley, this game has now been postponed until December 4, the day after the Pac-12 Championship Game. They also talk about what is left for the Trojans this season, including a chance at winning a bowl game for the first time since the 2016 football season, give updates on the injury situation around the program including quarterback Kedon Slovis, five-star freshman defensive end Korey Foreman and star running back Keaontay Ingram and as always they answer listener questions over email, voicemail and text messages. Tunnel Vision: Trojans struggle in Tempe on both sides of the ball
5588
Tunnel Vision crew of Keely Eure, Shotgun Spratling and Ryan Abraham are back from Tempe discussing the Trojans 31-16 loss to Arizona State, dropping USC's record to 4-5 and putting bowl eligibility chances in serious jeopardy. The crew saw first hand how the Trojans struggled to put drives together and tackle ASU running backs, allowing Herm Edwards' ASU squad to right the ship after a couple of terrible outings. Besides breaking down the game, they also go into what they think of the two quarterback experiment, with interim head coach Donte Williams rotating both Kedon Slovis and Jaxson Dart into the game at different times. Could that be the issue or is it more about the lack of a big play maker in Drake London as USC has only scored one touchdown in the 18 drives since London was injured. Coach Harvey Hyde gives thoughts on USC's struggling defense and utilizing a two quarterback system
3108
In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast Coach Harvey Hyde and Ryan Abraham give their thoughts on the Trojans 41-34 win over Arizona in the Coliseum. A win is a win, but how good should USC feel beating a team on a 20-game losing streak by a touchdown at home? The guys also talk about the very unfortunate season-ending injury, a fractured ankle, to star receiver Drake London. The junior wideout was proving to be the best player in the country at his position, and one of the only reasons to watch this Trojan football team at times. They also discuss the struggling USC defense that continues to allow opposing offenses to have their best outputs in the Coliseum and how the Trojans incorporated a two quarterback system with Kedon Slovis and Jaxson Dart.  Please review, rate and subscribe to the Peristyle Podcast on Apple Podcasts! Tunnel Vision: Trojans mistakes prove costly in 31-16 loss to the Fighting Irish
5152
The Tunnel Vision crew of Keely Eure, Shotgun Spratling and Ryan Abraham have returned from South Bend and are back in studio ready to talk about everything they saw at Notre Dame Stadium during USC's 31-16 loss to the Fighting Irish. There was no shortage of mistakes from the Trojans who gained more yards than the Irish but fell far short on the scoreboard. The team also talks about how interim head coach Donte Williams said after the game that he didn't feel the team lost, they simply ran out of time. Was that really the case? The Trojans didn't score a touchdown until the 4th quarter so it took a while to find the end zone, but the Irish also had a 15-point lead and was knocking on the door to score again before taking a knee to end the game. In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast Coach Harvey Hyde and Ryan Abraham try to make sense of the baffling USC loss to Stanford Saturday night in the Coliseum. 3978
Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Keely Eure are back in breaking down the Trojans very first game of the 2021 college football season, a 30-7 victory over the San Jose State Spartans. Emergency Podcast - College football realignment and what it means for the USC Trojans
2163
In this emergency edition of the Peristyle Podcast host Ryan Abraham goes solo on the eve of Pac-12 Media Day to talk about the news that shook the entire college football landscape, Texas and Oklahoma leaving the Big 12 and potentially joining forces with the SEC. Whatever happens with the Longhorns and the Sooners, college football will never be the same, with big brands utilizing their power to make deals that would help their programs as opposed to helping their conference. So what does that mean for USC? We will likely find out some of new Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff's plan on Tuesday, but USC athletic director Mike Bohn has to be happy knowing that the Trojan brand is powerful enough to make strong move similar to Texas and Oklahoma if the Pac-12 doesn't appear to be able to right the ship. For Bohn, every option should be on the table from going independent to joining another conference. And if USC does stay in the Pac-12 he can fight for a bigger piece of the revenue pie, helping his athletic department in the process. For now USC fans just need to hang on and enjoy the ride, because change is coming and the Trojans are in good position to improve their stock in this approaching new era of college football.
