TBT: Do You Have Bad Habits That Are Not Letting Your Faith Grow?
1593
Hey friends! On today's THROWBACK THURSDAY episode, I help you so some self-reflection of your habits: the good and the bad ones. Sometimes habits are so sneaky and silent, we don't even realize how detrimental they are to our faith! Our bad habits can be so common place, even to the point where we just think "that's how we are" or "that is just who I am!" But is it really? Is it really how God created you? Perhaps there are some bad habits you have been in agreement with for far too long and they are holding you back from really transforming and maturing in your faith. |

TBT: Taking Offense - How To Live Unoffended
1385
Hey friends! On today's episode we THROWBACK to when the podcast was called The Beautifully Enough Podcast. We cover this word offense. It's so easy to be offended in today's world. There is always someone disagreeing with us, telling us that we are wrong, trying to start a comment war. Social media doesn't help this issue, does it? And yet, what does the Bible say about taking offense? I find too often, that we are ok with just living offended. Everything offends us and we feel it necessary to constantly try to convince others they are wrong. But in your attempt to correct, are you sinning in other areas like pride, arrogance, unkindness, lacking compassion? |

You Of Little Faith - Do You Have Little or Great Faith?
2084
Hey friends! In today's episode we go to Matthew 14:22 and Matthew 15:21 to study when Jesus tells Peter "you of little faith, why did you doubt?" and then tells the Canaanite woman "Woman, you have great faith!" What is separating the two? Why does one have little faith and the other have great faith? And how do WE have great faith? Where do we fall? |

TBT: Stop Comparing Yourself - Being Content Right Where God Has You
1910
Hey friends! In today's THROWBACK THURSDAY episode, I pull one from when the podcast was titled The Beautifully Enough Podcast. We go back to the story of Rachel and Leah and how they both were married to Jacob. And in the middle of their story, we find some sister rivalry going on. Both pine for Jacob's affection but Jacob truly only has eyes for one. This leads to major comparison and jealousy. Do you struggle with those things too? Do you constantly compare yourself to people on social media or TV? Well, perhaps it's because you've made an idol out of them. Time to refocus and fix our eyes on the One and Only Heavenly Father. He is the only One you need to please. |

TBT: How To Be Faithful Even With The Littlest Of Things
1546
Hey friends! Today is THROWBACK THURSDAY! And you are listening to an episode I did back when the podcast was originally titled "The Beautifully Enough Podcast". The original title of this episode was "being faithful in the little things". And what I meant by that was: we know to bring our big things to God, right? We know to bring our "mountains" and "goliaths" to God. But what about the small stuff? Do you ever feel like the small stuff is too small for God to handle? Like you should be strong enough to handle the small stuff on your own, right? |

Do What It Says - Listening To The Word AND Doing It
2077
Hey friends! On today's episode we expand on James 1:22 where it says, "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." And I won't lie, I used to not like this verse a lot. Why? Because it calls you out! It would call me out! It would remind me of the things in my life that I knew I was doing that brought God sorrow and was against His word...and yet I was still choosing to do them anyway. |

TBT: Have You Becoming Addicted to the Dark?
1699
Hey friends! In today's summer Throwback Thursday episode, we go all the way back to an episode I did right at the start of covid and the pandemic. Anxiety was high. Negative news was all we heard. Fear was high. And I felt God telling me to remind everyone where our eyes should be fixed. Our eyes had become so fixed on all of the darkness and death around us, no wonder we were struggling with anxiety, fear and worry! But scripture tells us to fix our eyes on HEAVEN. To fix our eye on what is EXCELLENT and PRAISEWORTHY. |

Is Your Faith About Relationship or Rules?
1791
Hey friends! In today's episode we will be in Matthew 12:1-14 where the Pharisees try to trap Jesus and His disciples by calling them out for "working" on the Sabbath. Jesus gives them a response of "I desire mercy not sacrifice." So...what does that mean? |

TBT: Is Manifesting Ok For Christians To Do?
2097
Hey friends! In today's summer Throwback Thursday, we go back to my very first episode done over new age, manifesting, and why Christians should NOT be messing with it! It might be spiritual in nature, but spiritual doesn't always mean Godly. Our enemy is really good as disguising himself as an angel of light and manifesting is one way we can let him in. And we need to have our armor on when it comes to this demonic practice. |

Who Is God?
1427
Hey friends! In today's episode we go to Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 2:4-7 to get a better understanding of who God really is. Yes, you might know a little about God. You might see God as your Heavenly Father and accessible to you. You might see God as powerful, scary and untouchable. I want to remind you today that He is BOTH. And we are to respect and revere His Majesty but at the same time find comfort and peace that He is always with us. It's a beautiful balance between the two. |

How Is Your Soil? - Could Your Choices Be The Reason Your Faith Isn't Growing?
1664
Hey friends! Today we are in Matthew 13:1-9 where Jesus tells us the parable of the sower. In this parable, we describes a farmer who scatters his seeds and they fall on for different types of soil. Some of the seeds grow. Some don't. And some are extremely fruitful! The seeds represent hearing the Good News and the plants that grow (or don't grow) represent our faith! The question is, how is your faith plant growing? Or has it stalled out? Is it being choked out? |

Don't Gain The Whole World & Lose Your Soul
2247
Hey friends! On today's episode, we are in Matthew 10:32-39. In this passage, Jesus is teaching his disciples how to be disciples, what it means to be a disciple, their responsibilities...and how being a follower of Christ means seeking after the Kingdom and not the world. Have you heard the TobyMac song "I don't want to gain the whole world and lose my soul?" That's what we are going to talk about, but we are going much deeper than fame and fortune. We are going there and talking about how we can idolize every our families, relationships, and friends too. It's a tough topic but lets do this together. |

TTB: Are You The Wise or Foolish Builder? - Putting Our Faith Into ACTION
1412
Hey friends! Today, we are in Matthew 7:24-27 where Jesus teaches the story about the wise and foolish builders. Growing up, I heard this story taught and I always assumed the wise builder represented people who knew Jesus and the foolish builder represented people who did not know Jesus. But as I studying this passage again, I realized that's NOT what they represented! WHAT?! This story is teaching us that hearing about Jesus isn't enough. There is one subtle difference that either makes us wise or foolish...and it has to do with doing . Be more than just all talk. Time to walk the walk! |

1482
Hey friends! On today's Quick Tip Tuesday, I give you guidance on how to have boundaries in your life. How we don't always have to be the yes-man to the people around us. Are You The Friend With The Lifechanging Faith?
1447
Hey friends! On today's episode we are in Matthew 9:1-8! This is the story about a paralyzed man that was healed because his friends brought him to Jesus. (You can also find more detailed version of this story in Mark 2:1-12. In that account, you read how the friends actually carried their friend to the roof and lowered him down!) Within the story, Jesus says because of the faith of the friends, the paralyzed man was forgiven and then healed! And this got me thinking... |

Why God? - Addressing the Tragedy of Uvalde
1697
Hey friends. Today's episode was not planned but knew it needed to be done. Many of you know I live in Texas and, tragically, there was a school shooting that occurring 5/24/22 as an elementary school about 80 miles from where we used to live when we were in San Antonio. I have friends who have been directly impacted by this careless act. I also know there are many unanswered questions that arise when evil events like this happen. So I decided to take this platform and help guide anyone who has ever asked the question "Why God?" |

QTT- What is Repentance and How Do We Do It?
1625
Hey friends! On today's episode, we dive into this word "repentance" and study 2 Samuel 12. I don't know about you but that word has always been one I have associated with brimstone and fire. "Repent!" like in this big booming unforgiving voice. But the more and more I practice repentance during my prayer time, the more and more I have begun to realize that repentance isn't something scary at all! It actually has been a key factor into humility in my life! (and that humility sure is a big ole fruit of the Spirit!) So join me today as we talk about repentance, what is it, how we do it, and how it can be something that makes our faith mature and grow!! |

QTT- What Is The Purpose of the Bible?
2273
Hey friends! Have you ever thought to yourself how does the Old Testament relate to the New Testament? What is the point of all of these Bible hero stories? And it just never really connected for you? No worries! I have got you! On today's no-so-Quick Tip Tuesday (this one got a little long!), I review the Bible from start to finish! Yep! I start in Genesis and give you a "quick" tour of how it all is connected! Why the world feels so broken and unjust. Why all the laws to follow in the OT. What is up with all of the kings and prophets? Why can't it just be about Jesus? I hope after this episode, you have some ah-ha moments! |

How Christians Should Act - More Attributes of a Kingdom Citizen
2006
Hey friends! On today's episode, we are adding to our list of attributes of a Kingdom Citizen! There is not just one "list" you can read in the Bible that fully explains how Christians should think, be, say, act, and do. But when we look at the Bible collectively as a whole, we can begin to piece together attributes that should be models by us! Modeled, not because it makes us look goodie goodie and better than everyone else, but because we want to emulate Jesus to those around us! |

TTB: Submitting To God's Will, Not Our Own Opinion
1481
Hey friends! On today's Thursday Truth Bomb, we chat about humility. Sometimes, we can get a little caught up in our own pride and knowledge that we get too big for our britches (I am from the south! We say stuff like that!) And this story of King Uzziah in 2 Chronicles is a good reminder to us that God's commands trump our opinion. |

Tough Topic Tuesday - Abortion and Christianity (yep...we are going there today)
1962
Hey friends! In light of things going on specifically right now with the Supreme Court and Roe vs. Wade, abortion is a topic that is in our faces every single day. And I know this is a tough topic to cover. I know this is a topic that easily can offend people. So before you push play, I really want you to stop and pray before receiving these words. Pray for opened ears and softened hearts. Ask God to keep our offense, pride, even shame or guilt and anything else that can potentially get in the way of learning out of our minds. Also know, I can't answer every "what if" question. I know there are some difficult situations that arise and complications that make decisions even more difficult to make. I am in no way ignoring those. If you have ever faced or ever do face those unspeaking scenarios, I want you to know that God still loves you. Take your decision to Him. Not social media. Not politics. Take it to Him. It's between you and Him. |

More Attributes of a Kingdom Citizen - The Beatitudes
1993
Hey friends! On today's episode, we dive into more attributes of a kingdom citizen! We tend to quote the Fruit of the Spirit a lot when we think about how we should live, think and act. But there are so many more that we can study besides the Fruit of the Spirit! One amazing list are the beatitudes found in Jesus' sermon on the mount! So let's dive into those today, refresh our memories of them, and listen and learn so we can go be even better kingdom citizens! |

1773
Hey friends! On today's Thursday Truth Bomb (get it?! TTB?!) episode, we are going to the book to Matthew and diving deep into the passage where Jesus was tempted by the devil. And I think we forget that. |

2328
Hey friends! On today's episode, we go there and we talk about idolatry and do idols still exist today? What is idolatry? How does it offend God? And we do some self reflection into our hearts and lives and ask God to reveal to us any idols that, perhaps, we have been placing as more important in our lives than Him. Let's go there. Let's get uncomfy. And let's do it because we want to be more obedient to God. We got this! |

THURSDAY TRUTH BOMB - What It Means To Have Freedom In Christ: Primary vs. Secondary Issues
1829
Hey friends! On today's Thursday truth bomb, we are going to dive into this topic of primary vs. secondary issues and how knowing this can really help us become more unified as believers. As the body of Christ, we know division is a weapon from the enemy and he wants nothing more than for us to tear each other apart so he doesn't have to do it for us. But, when we know what the MOST IMPORANT thing is that roots us ALL as Christians, we can fight this fight together and unified! And, perhaps, we can learn to live less offended and learn that it's ok if our convictions vary Christian to Christian. |

Purpose In Your Pain
2131
Hey friends! Today we are going to continue our conversation from last Thursday about the problem we have with pain. Today we are going to talk about Joseph and how he went through serious pain and struggle, only to find there was actual God given purpose for his pain. Truth Bomb Thursday // The Problem We Have With Enduring Pain In Life
1855
Hey friends! Today is a heavy episode. We are going to talk about pain. Why does God allow pain? How can God be a good God and yet we endure pain? I know those are tough questions we have in our minds but yet we never want to ask them. So let's talk about this tough topic. We are going to the book of Job, a faithful and righteous man, who for no explanation, had everything ripped away from him. Why? What is the lesson? Yep, we are going there, friends. Let's do this. Because in the end you will see that God is still good, even through your pain. |

Quick Tip Tuesday // How To Witness To Unbelievers
1175
Hey friends! On today's Quick Tip Tuesday, we are going to answer this question that I knew I asked myself growing up: "How do I talk to an unbeliever about Jesus?" How do we witness to a non-believer. I know we all have people, loved ones, in our life who do not know Jesus and who are not saved. And in your heart, you want to share about Jesus...but how do you go about it? I am going to give you some scripture and help you answer this question. :) |

How To Be Followers of Christ & Not Be Push Overs
1894
Hey friends! On today's episode we are going to talk about this idea that somehow being a Christian, kind, gentle, compassion will make us weak and someone others can take advantage of. And I won't lie, at one point I kind of believed this to be true myself! But the more I have studied the Bible and the more I realized how much of a BOSS Jesus really was, I have come to the conclusion that we will be anything BUT a pushover as strong, faith filled Christians! |

THURSDAY TRUTH BOMB - Could You Be Reading Your Bible Wrong
1327
On today's episode , we are going to talk about how you possibly could be approaching the Bible the wrong way. And this might not even been intentionally! As you grow in your faith and as you learn from others who challenge your faith in a positive way, there are things you once did that you now realize could have been done better! And this is one of them! In today's episode, I want to challenge you to reevaluate how you approach the Bible and your personal beliefs. Do you take "truths" from the outside world, deem them as truth, then attempt to back it up with scripture? OR - do you come into reading your Bible with no agenda and with the sole purpose of allowing the Bible to teach you ultimate truth and allow it's words and commands to transform your heart? See the difference? I hope you do. |

This is for anyone who struggles with believing that your past sins are actually wipe clean and 100% forgiven by God. This is for anyone who clings to shame and guilt of sins that you remember you have done. This is for anyone who has never truly believed they could come as they are to the throne room of Jesus and truly be washed clean and made new. |

How Understanding God's Holiness Can Help You Overcome Pain and Struggles
1510
Hey friends! We are continuing our Holy Week and talking about how understanding God's holiness at a deeper level can actually transform how you see and overcome our daily struggles! I believe our expectation when it comes to overcoming struggle is more like dropping off our clothing at the dry cleaners and wanting to pick up fresh, clean clothes without doing the work. We want to pray and drop our struggles off with the Lord and come back to pick up a pain and stress free life! But it doesn't work that way. But when you begin to understand God's holiness and just how powerful it truly is, you will begin to understand how you can confidently walk THROUGH the valley instead of wanting God to just take it all away. Yes, understanding God's holiness can help put those struggles into a better and more manageable perspective! |

Truth Bomb Thursday // What Worship Should Really Mean In Our Lives with guest John Richardson
2893
Hey friends! I have a fun treat for you today! We have our very first male representative on our female devotional podcast! John Richardson aka @johnthemessenger is a Tiktok buddy of mine who has a passion for worship and ministry. He creates content that really can challenge how we, as Christians, view worship. I know after watching a few of his videos, I begin to challenge my current view of worship and really felt the desire to dive in deeper into what true Biblical worship is. So that is what we hope to present to you today: an opportunity to expand how you view worship. Because it's more than just music and song. It's a heart posture and it's all centered around God and God alone. |

Being Women of Excellence
1969
Hey friends! On today's episode, we go back to the book of Ruth and study how she was a beautiful example of being a woman of excellence. Ruth, despite performing a very boring and mundane task, continued to work hard and give her best. And this standard of excellence opened up doors to a new life! As Kingdom woman, we are called to fear the Lord and give God our best, is EVERYTHING we do. Even in the tiniest, most boring and (what we accuse as being) unfulfilling roles, we need to change our attitudes. Because there is no role that God has put us in that we should not give our best to. |

THURSDAY TRUTH BOMB - We Are Not the Main Characters
1042
Hey friends! Today is a true truth bomb of an episode. Today, we are going to challenge how we approach God, Jesus, and the Bible. It is so easy for us to get sucked into the me-me-me aspect of the Bible. Yes, God is our Protector! Yes, Jesus is our Mighty Counselor! Yes, God can do exceedingly more than we could ever imagine! But that still doesn't make us the main character of the Bible or this relationship. God is the main character. Have you been guilty of only focusing on what God can give you? Today, I challenge you to remember who the real main character is. And how all eyes should always be fixed on Him. |

Philippians Bible Study - Ch. 3 Where Do We Find Our Confidence?
1408
Hey friends! On today's episode, we continue our Bible study through the book of Philippians. In Chapter 3, Paul discussed how we, as Christians, should not have any confidence in the flesh aka in the world. Instead, Paul directs us on exactly where we are supposed to find our confidence, in Christ and Christ alone. Self-confidence is thrown out the window. We have access to an even better confidence...confidence in Christ! |

3 Tips to Help Christians Understand Mental Health
2031
Hey friends! In today's episode, we are going to uncover the thought process that somehow struggling with mental health is not Christian. Can Christians still be Christian and yet struggle with mental health? Mental health is severely misunderstood by Christians and the Church. Many of us were taught that if you essentially lacked faith if you struggles with anxiety, depression or any other mental health issue. I want to uncover that lie and bring God's word onto it. What does God's word say about mental health? How can we seek help? And how struggling with these emotions and mental thoughts does NOT make you a "bad" Christian. |

THURSDAY TRUTH BOMB - Being Quick To Forget God's Goodness
1223
Hey friends! In today's Thursday truth bomb, we are going to reflect on our tendency as humans to quickly forget all of the goodness and blessings God has placed in our life. We become so focused on distraction and negative circumstances that we become susceptible to doubting and trusting God. We ask the questions "How can I trust God if life is going so bad?" So let's study a story in the Bible about how the Israelites also, like us, were very quick to forget God's goodness and how they easily fell into grumbling and complaining. |

How To Stop Complaining
2016
Hey friends! In today's episode, we are going to tackle and conquer our chronic complaining hearts. Complaining is a sin that easily goes undetected. Complaining comes so easily to us, so naturally, and sometimes our situation is really messed up and we should have a right to complain! But we are going to peel back the layers of these arguments and really uncover the mess and sin complaining actually is and causes in life. How complaints, no matter how justified, are all accusations against our God and His will...yikes I know. You might have never thought of it that way, but let's go there and talk about it today. |

I hope to bring some clarity and provide you with less confusion about the purpose of these laws so, one day, you will have the courage to read them for yourself! |

Revealing The Deception Behind Manifesting, New Age, Zodiac Signs, and Astrology with Guest Tailah Scroggins

Hey friends! Get ready for a juicy and honest conversation I had with my Tiktok and IG friend Tailah Scroggins! We go there and touch on the heavy topic of new age practices (manifesting our dreams, astrology, horoscopes, zodiac signs, etc.) and how they are not in alignment with God's word. We know many of these practices are so commonplace and we can even believe them to be just "fun and innocent", but after you listen in our my conversation with Tailah, I pray that God really opens your eyes to His truth and that you can see the deception for what is it: a potential doorway to let the enemy into your life and home. We are pulling the curtain back on these lies and exposing them! God is the ONLY Way, ONLY Truth, and ONLY Life. We want to make sure it stays that way in your life, sis. |

THURSDAY TRUTH BOMB - How To Be A Humble Yet Confident Christian
1196
Hey friends! In today's Thursday Truth Bomb, we are going to talk about two topics: humility and confidence. Those two sound contradictory to one another, but as Christians, we actually should be both! But we tend to fall into either one extreme or the other. Some of us are "too" humble to a fault. We believe we are so imperfect and so far from God that there is no way He will ever accept us as His own. Some of us are "too" confidence, or maybe even just blissfully blind, to our confidence. We are so confident, we think we are faultless. We struggle to even see our sin. But we need to be both. We need to be humibly aware of our sin so we know just how much we really need Jesus. But it's because of Jesus and God's rich mercy that we can be confident because God fights for us, we need only to be still! |

Hey friends! In today's Thursday truth bomb, we are going to study Numbers 13-14 and learn from the Israelites and their leaders on how not to handle fear and how to handle fear! In this passage, the Lord sends 12 of their leaders into the land of Canaan to explore and report back on what they saw. 10 of the 12 leaders are fully intimidated and fearful of the foreign people in the land, so much so they make the entire Israelite nation afraid to enter! Esau was the oldest and, therefore, the owner of the birthright of the family. But in the span of one short story, we see just how little Esau values that birthright. We like to look at ourselves through the lens of the heroes of the Bible. Asking God To Search Our Hearts
1759
Hey friends! Today comes with a challenge. I am going to challenge you to look for some things in your heart that, perhaps, you have been avoiding. David teaches us a beautiful, yet uncomfortable prayer in Psalm 139. He prays to God to "search his heart". If God searched your heart, what would He find? Does that make you nervous? Well, it shouldn't. We are going to talk about inviting God into our lives, letting His search our hearts, so we can live with less shame and guilt weight on our shoulders because we have given our sins to God. |

How To Trust God's Will
2034
Hey friends! Today we are going to review the story of Abraham and Sarah and how they trusted God and didn't trust God in certain situations. We have a tendency to believe that if God doesn't answer our prayers right here, right now, that means He has forgotten us and He doesn't care about us. We want immediate answers from God instead of trusting God's timing, no matter how slow it might feel. And when we don't get those immediate answer, we will take it upon ourselves to do it anyway, trusting our own will over God's. And it never turns out right when we do it without God, does it? Hey friends! Did you know that you have an enemy? Nope, it's not your spouse. It's not your boss. It's not the person on social media who doesn't have the same political views as you. As believers, we have ONE enemy and his name is Satan. He sneaks around like a roaring lion looking to devour your marriage, your family, your identity, your peace, your courage, your hope, and your faith on a daily basis. And yet, we rarely put up a fight against him. We will fight with our spouses all day long...we will fight thoughts in our head all day long...but we will never lift a finger towards the devil. We are fighting the wrong battles, friends. We don't blame the devil enough and I have had enough of this! Making God and Reading Your Bible a Necessity Not An Option
1736
Hey friends! **WARNING** Gonna step on some toes with this one. I used to have all of the reasons why I couldn't read my Bible every day, too. I was too busy, didn't want to get up earlier than normal, didn't know where to start or would I even understand what I was reading? But then I was deeply convicted. It wasn't that I couldn't do it or that I wouldn't be equipped to do it, it was a priority issue. I was allowing myself to make time with God an option, not a necessity. And it hits different when you admit God isn't a priority versus "I don't have the time." So that is what I want to chat about in today's episode. Let me help you grow in your perspective and see our lack of time with God is a lack of priority...and how you can change all of that! How to Trust God by Knowing What Is Truly Important
1092
Hey friends! Today, we go back to Matthew 6 and tackle worry from a different angle. I want to equip you with another powerful tool on how to overcome worry...and that is through fully trusting God AND keeping our eyes on what is really important! We get so fixated to things of this world that they become what is most important to us. And we forget that this world is temporary. What we gain here on this earth is here today and gone tomorrow. So if it is temporary, why do we cling to it so tightly? Why are we not clinging to the eternal things? Why are we not clinging to everlasting things?! Let's study Matthew 6 again and, this time, learn how to keep our eyes on what is truly important and how that will help us trust God more and help subside our constant states of worry. |

New Year's Resolution Challenge// Knowing What is Sin (and How to Handle it!)
1840
Hey friends! Today, I want to challenge you as we enter the new year. If you have been wanting to mature in your faith and you feel God pulling you closer to Him, you will find that you will begin to see sin that you usually didn't see. And I want to challenge you to walk into that new phase of your faith boldly! I know it can be challenging and even scary you resist temptations and sins that you have become accustom to, but that is the danger of it all. We have become so desensitized to sin that we don't see recognize most of it around us! We are so neutral to so many sins that we begin to just let it be instead of being righteously offended by it and wanting to bring light and truth to the situation! Kind of like how Noah's sons handled (or didn't handle) a certain precarious situation Noah finds himself in after the flood. |

How To Be an Obedient Woman of God
1019
Hey friends! Merry *almost* Christmas!! Today we are going to study Luke 1 and 2 and learn two lessons from Mary: how to be an obedient woman of God and how to have joy regardless of your circumstances. So many times we just read this passage as another Sunday school story or as part of the Christmas play our kids do for church. But this story is also a powerful example of how we, as Godly women, can find the answer to our question of "how can I be an obedient woman of God?" How can we push past our self-doubt and fear to follow God obediently? |

Where Do You Find Your Hope?
1891
Hey friends! Today we are going to talk about where we find our hope. I don't think many of us realize that we have our hope misplaced. We place our hope in things of this world: money, spouses, friends, motherhood, health, jobs, other people, etc. when our hope should only be placed in God and God alone. No wonder we constantly struggle with feeling hopeless and full of worry and doubt! Luckily for us, our God is the God of Hope! So after a little redirection, I hope to remind you to get your hope back into God's hands, the only place it belongs. |

GOD IS WITHIN HER PODCAST // The Pivot - Trusting God's Understanding Over My Own
1375
Hey friends! You might be expecting The Beautifully Enough Podcast! What the heck is God Is Within Her? Am I in the right place?! But sometimes, God calls us to pivot. And He has been calling me to pivot with the name of the podcast for a while. When I first started this podcast, I titled it Beautifully Enough because that is how I felt. I was in a lowly dark place in my life. I was struggling with some inner idols that God was exposing. I jumped into creating this podcast with no idea where it was going or how much of an impact it was going to have on so many women’s lives. I really doubted myself and that I was even qualified to teach other Christian women scripture and Biblical lessons, That is why the podcast was titled Beautifully Enough - It was my declaration and reminder to myself that I am just that, beautifully enough, even when I didn’t feel like I was enough or qualified enough. And here we are today, exactly two years since the first podcast episode aired! I am bewildered and amazed at how God has used this podcast for growing His Kingdom and glory! You probably can say you and I have come a long way as Godly women, haven’t we? And that is why the name is taking a pivot. We have matured as a podcast. I have matured even more as your weekly host. Many of you have matured along with me! And while we may occasionally struggle with feeling just beautifully enough, it’s time we move to the next season of our walks with Christ. It’s time to boldly step into the next phase of being women who live a life where it is abundantly clear that God is within her! Where we no longer live lives dictated by our doubts and fears but truly live as Godly women who are unshakeable because God is within us! WELCOME TO THE GOD IS WITHIN HER PODCAST! Are you ready to grow your faith in God?
205
Welcome to the God Is Within Her Podcast. (formerly known as The Beautifully Enough Podcast!) This is a space for you, as a Christian woman, to mature in your faith, grow a closer relationship with God, and live confidently in Christ! Every week, we will dive into the word of God so we fill our minds with God’s truths, to live, not as the world tells us to live, but to live boldly as Godly women who fear the Lord. DON'T PANIC RETURNING LISTENERS!! This is still the same weekly devotional podcast you fell in love with over the past two years. But God has put it on my heart to pivot and run with a new title that truly embodies the kingdom purpose God has placed on my heart: not to focus on our lack or feelings of inadequacies but to mentor and guide Christian women to realize we can grow a fierce and confident faith in Christ! Titus 2:3-7 instructs the female elders to become “teachers of beautiful things”. The message translation tells women to be “models of goodness”. When we are models of these beautiful things, we will begin to teach other women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, and to be set-apart as a model of a life nobly lived. And, of course, there is Psalm 46, where the title of the podcast comes from. Psalm 46 references the city of God, Zion, and his chosen people, the Jews. The psalmist is writing this song as a beautiful reminder that God is their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, do not fear. God is within the city, so the city will not fall. But it is also a promise for us, as women of God. Because of Jesus, God is within us every single day, through the Holy Spirit. And if God is for us, who can be against us? God is within her, she will not fall. And that is my prayer over you as you join me in this podcast, that you become a woman who is a model of the beautiful things of the Lord as you grow in your faith and embrace the promise that God is within you. It is time we start the word of God to conquer our fears and doubts that we aren’t enough or we can’t hear God’s voice, and transform into empowered women of God who can overcome any obstacle all in the name of Jesus! If you have been going through the motions of your faith and you’re ready for a mentor to guide you on your daily walk with God, you are in the right place! THURSDAY TRUTH BOMB - Raising Our Children Up In Christ
1012
Hey friends! Welcome to another episode of Thursday Truth Bombs! Today's truth bomb is all about parenting. As Christian parents, we have a duty and obligation to raise our children on the path they should go, the path of Jesus. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to "train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will no depart from it." And this command requires us, as parents and the adults, to make sure we know what that correct path looks like! It is our job to set the example for our children so they have a proper example to model their own Christian walk against. We need to do our parts as the parent to make sure we are training our children up so they always are firmly rooted in Jesus Christ. |

Hey friends! Today, we are discussing hope. That is something that can be hard to come by in this world, especially as of late. The worldly pandemic, daily new of another world crisis, arguing and bickering on social media...our hope can look more like a roller coaster of ups and downs rather than a steady stream that it's supposed to be.

Keep The Main Thing The Main Thing
1901
Today, I want to talk about a sentence that has stuck with me since I was a teenager. I grew up in church and I remember having a guest pastor come and speak. His name was Peter Lord (literally had to text me mom and ask her to remind me because for the life of me, I couldn’t remember.) And in one of his sermons he said “you have to keep the main thing the main thing”. I have never forgotten that simple sentence. You have to keep the main thing the main thing. In our walk with God, we have to remember to keep the main thing the main thing. And the main thing is God. The main thing is not us. We are not the main characters in this story. We are role players. It’s not that we are not important to God. He loves us so much, He sent His son Jesus to die for our sins. Oh we are so important to Him. But, we are not the main thing. God is the main thing. And in everything we do, we have to keep the main thing the main thing. We have to keep God the priority. Our actions should be for God first. Our thoughts should please God first. Our prayers should praise and honor God, first. But, as humans full of sin and fault, we can lose sight of keeping the main thing the main thing, can we not? We can fall into this cycle of being a part time Christian but fully expecting God to be for us full time. Our prayers become all about “give me give me give me” and never once even thinking about having gratitude. We talk how we want to talk. Dress how we want to dress. Say what we want to say. Do what we want to do. And we can get so comfortable, we forget to keep the main thing the main thing. Work with me // https://msha.ke/val_reynolds

Let The Devil Know Not Today
1943
Today, I am offering a challenge. It is a challenge to be humble, to have a softened heart, opened ears, and pray real quick for some discernment to be aware of what I want to teach you today. Because this might challenge some of you to release things that you have held onto for a really long time. And even though you have held onto it like a comfort blanket, you also don’t like how it makes you feel. I am talking about all the default emotions your mind is currently set you. Specifically the negative default emotions like: anger, frustration, resentment towards other people, self-loathing, the feeling that you’re not good enough, the shame and guilt you hold onto, anything that pushes you to be lazy and lack action, anything that causes an excess of anxiety and worry, *insert any negative emotion that does not allow you the mental capacity to live fully whole and loved and joyful in Christ because it takes up way too much of your mental RAM drive* Do you have your negative default emotions identified yet? Ok good. You ready? Your current negative default emotions are your areas in your life that you need to (at the risk of sounding cliche) let go and Let GOD. You have been in agreement with those dark emotions for far too long. It’s time to stop agreeing with them. Stop agreeing with the lies in your head that the enemy put there with the sole purpose of keeping you from completing your purpose!! If the thought or emotion goes against God’s word, if it makes you believe in an identity that contradicts who God says you are, then it is a default setting you need to DELETE RIGHT NOW. It is not an innocent thing. It is full blow spiritual warfare and you are drawing the line in the sand right now, sister. The enemy intended to harm you with it. But God intended to turn it into good! Order your Maturing In Your Faith course + e-workbook HERE!!

Imitating Christ’s humility
2167
Today, I want to talk about humility. I feel like this is a topic that isn’t touched as much as others, but it certainly is something we need more of in this world. Just do any quick search in google or Pinterest and so many of the self-help quotes you see are so self absorbed and self-involved. “Focus on just you” was one of them. “”Focus on yourself, don’t get lost in other people” was another. “Find yourself” “”It doesn’t matter what others are doing but what you are doing.” And while all of that definitely sounds good to our ears (because it feeds into our flesh), at its core, “focus on self” is not anything Jesus would do. So today, I want to talk about humility and, hopefully, just help you develop a new perspective that goes away from self and towards others. IG: @val_reynolds |

How Do I Share About Jesus?
1943
Today, we are going to tackle a topic that, honestly, I feared for most of my teenage years. Maybe fear isn’t the right word, but I had a lot of questions on it. It was the term disciple. I would hear Matt. 4:19 said in church “And He said unto them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” And we would talk about the great commission in Matt 26:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” But internally, I would be like “what does that even mean for me? Does that mean I just invite my friends to church? Do it mean I have to be this weird, awkward Christian who only would talk about Jesus?” I pictured this nerd in the corner with glasses (ironically, I do wear glasses!). But. How? IG: @val_reynolds |

Why do I feel like something is still missing?
1454
Today’s devotional was inspired by one of my favorite songs. If you don’t know this song, you need to go download it. It is by Elevation Worship called “graves to gardens”. These are the lyrics that got me. “I searched the world But it couldn't fill me. Man's empty praise And treasures that fade Are never enough. Then You came along And put me back together. And every desire Is now satisfied Here in Your love.” So this is for anyone who struggles with self-confidence. You worry about what other people think of you. Maybe you feel like something is missing inside of you and nothing quite seems to fill the void: you’ve tried relationships, material possessions, money, hustle, success, and no matter what you put there, there is always this empty feeling like there is something more. There is still something missing. -------------------------------- IG: @val_reynolds |

Where Is The Comfort, God?
1593
Currently, you could be in one of 3 places: currently in the dark valley, just got out of the valley, or you’re about to walk through the valley. Am I right? Sometimes, life can really feel like one big dark valley. And it’s real, it hurts, it brings fear into your life, it might even take some of that God given confidence, joy and peace away from you. All of that is real to you and you are seeking comfort from God. You know He is a God of comfort. You know you need to trust His ways are higher than your ways. You know to turn to Him when you are feeling like you’re in that dark valley. You might even remember this verse and have prayed some sort of version for yourself. “Lord, I come to you for comfort. You tell me that your rod and your staff comfort me. I need that comfort right now.” -- And then you wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and the comfort never seems to come. The pain is still there. The struggle is still there. The exhaustion is still there. And then we ask the same question “God, you told me you would comfort me. But I feel zero comfort. My pain is still there. My struggle is still there. I’m still feeling mentally exhausted and I have little peace and joy. I don’t think you have heard me God. I feel like you have forgotten me, Lord. I don’t matter much to you, do I?” But here is what I want to bring to light: the word “comfort” in this passage does not mean God will take away the pain and suffering. Can God just take it away like “that”? Absolutely He can. Does He chose to leave it there? Yep, He does that too. Comfort is not the absence of the pain, like we like to think it is. At least when it’s used in the bible, that typically is not what it means. Worldly comfort is the comfort we want. Zero pain. Zero suffering. Easy living. No struggles. But Spiritual comfort is what we need, because it requires us to rely on God. It is not a lack of pain and struggle, but becoming strengthened and reinvigorated, reinforced, by God! It’s knowing we cannot do any of this on our way, whether in the dark valley or sitting pretty. We need God. And His comfort means He gives us the strength required to keep walking through the valley until you make it to the other side! IG: @val_reynolds |

Never Too Far Gone
2098
Today, we are going to dive into God’s grace, mercy and forgiveness. Perhaps there is some past sin in your life that is like a dark cloud hovering over your head. Or perhaps it’s not in the past but it’s very much in the present, right now today. It is a huge source of shame and guilt. You’re definitely not proud of it. It might even make you feel like you’re too far from God’s forgiveness. It’s just something that no matter how much to pursue Him, how much you read your Bible, how much you go to church, even how much you ask for forgiveness, it still feels like a shameless letter A across your chest. Maybe it’s sexual immorality whether that be sex outside of marriage, an affair, lust, pornography. Maybe it’s not very good Christian living like partying, too much alcohol, drug use, anything that makes you not sober minded. Maybe it’s an abortion from your past. Maybe it’s something that was done to you, out of your control. I know these are super deep, and dark topics to talk about, but sometimes we need to talk about them. We need to know that we are not alone. We need to know other women struggle with the same shame and guilt from sins in our lives that we really would just like to sweep under the rug and never speak of again. But there is no healing and there is no freedom when we do that. So, I am willing to get a little uncomfortable if you are. -------------------------------- IG: @val_reynolds |

Anger Management
2005
Today’s episode is inspired by a comment left on my Instagram page by Melissa Silva @melsil81. She asked “how to handle anger in your heart when someone has done you wrong.” Isn’t that such a deep and personal question to seek guidance in?! And, let's be real sis, we need to know how to handle anger better in our day to day lives, not just when someone did you wrong. But someone going 10 miles under the speed limit is enough to feel like someone did me wrong. I gotta turn up that klove Jesus music up extra high when that happens because, gosh it irks me! Ha! So let’s talk about anger, because honestly, I still don’t have this one fully conquered. But thankfully His mercies are new every day and every day we can choose to improve our anger management skills. IG: @val_reynolds |

Listener Request Episode - Staying Consistent With Our Quiet Time
2290
Today’s episode comes from a comment by @autumn_bottom. She commented “staying motivated, staying consistent. I will be on top of prayer and devotional and Bible study one week and then the next is just a wash!” And goodness, how many of yall can relate to that comment?! I know you do because this is probably one of these most asked questions I get in my DMs or comment sections. So many struggle with their daily Bible reading, daily prayer time, daily quiet time. You want to do it. You know you need to do it. You even know it will be so beneficial to your spiritual walk and grow your faith in The Lord! So why is it so dang hard to stay self-disciplined with it?! Now, sorry if this disappoints you, but this will not be an episode with all the tips and tricks on how to read your Bible better, what’s better: morning or afternoon, what devotionals do I read, what pastors should I listen to, etc. Here is why: you can have all of the tools right in front of you, but the resources alone won’t give you a reason to remain consistent at it. The most typical problem I see when people are struggling with their daily time with The Lord, is they are asking the wrong question. They want to do “what” to do when the better, and more effective question is, “why” do I need to do this? And the reason I know this is because, for a long time, I was asking the wrong question myself. I always wanted to know “What” new devotional to read? “WHAT” book in the bible do I need to start in? But I was missing the most important question...WHY was I supposed to do it in the first place? Why should I read my Bible daily? Why should I pray daily? Why should I spend time with God daily? So, why should we? IG: @val_reynolds |

Casting your worry on Him
1710
Hey friends! How have you been?! We are getting all settled in here at the Reynolds household. I am ready to get back into my routine, sharing more inspirational content on my social media. Got back into my more quiet time with God in my new office. It was hard to get back into that routine after being off of it for a little over a week. My body was tired and the voice telling me “you’re tired. It’s ok Just sleep. You deserve the rest,” was just so loud this week! Oh I know that is because I did minimal work of putting my armor on last week. How did I ever go so long without a quiet time and arming myself? I felt so weak emotionally. It actually rolls into why I chose to title today’s episode “casting your cares unto Him.” This episode is for anything who has struggled or is currently struggling through fear and worry. 1 Peter 5:7 says Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Other translations will say “cast all of your cares on him”, “give all of your worry to Him,” “leave all your worries with Him,” even one says “THROW your worry on Him.” Can you imagine it? Just running by God and tossing our worry onto Him like a pile of laundry. Like here God, bye! Thanks for taking care of this for me! But it doesn’t feel like it works that way all the time, does it? Perhaps you know you need to leave your worry with Him, leave your anxiety with Him, leave your fears with Him. And you pray and pray. God take this. I leave this with you...and then 30 minutes later you’re back to feeling worried and anxious and fearful. Why do I still feel worried if I gave it up to God? Did He not take it from me? Or did I not fully give it to Him? So let's chat about this, shall we? -------------------------------- IG: @val_reynolds |

Whatever Is True And Noble
1634
Today’s episode is going to have some self reflection in it for you. (yay! We always love it when we have to self reflect, huh?) *insert sarcasm*) But I want to bring some light to what we choose to consume daily. I’m not really talking about what we eat, although the passage I am going to read talked about eating stew. But what do you allow yourself to consume with your ears, eyes, and how that translates into our thoughts. We will be in 2 Kings 4. In this passage, the prophets in this passage are currently enduring a 7 year famine. For them, it’s a food famine. For us, it's symbolic of a faith famine in our current world. Faith and believers are few and far between in our current world, aren’t they? We are living in a faith famine. The prophets were living in a food famine. And in the story, they ate "Death In a Pot". Their stew was poisonous. But what in your life are you allowing yourself to eat that is also poisonous, but you refuse to spit it out? I will be the one to say it is time to take off the rose colored glasses you’re looking at the world with and start to see the world through a warrior’s helmet. Let me help you awaken your spiritual discernment to the evil all over this world. Let me help you become more aware of the poisonous stew you’ve been consuming and let’s grow a passion for seeking what is true and noble! IG: @val_reynolds |

How Great Is Our God!
1344
Today’s episode is (hopefully) going to serve as a reminder to us to keep the main thing the main thing. We can get caught up in teaching, learning, memorizing scripture, “is this a sin? Is that a sin?”...and don’t get me wrong. All of those things are so important! But I want to refocus on, not on us as the center of our spiritual universe, but who should be at the center of our universe: God. IG: @val_reynolds |

Worship While You Wait
1511
Today, I wanted to take a lesson from my own life and use it as inspiration for this episode. There can be something powerful in a “me too” testimony and I have a “me too” moment for you. Does anyone else struggle with waiting? Basically, is anyone else like me? You plan everything out (even possibly in faith) and when it doesn’t happen exactly as you envisioned it, you get agitated. And then you begin to dwell on the delayed timeline and that compounds worry on top of anxiety. This causes you to rack your brain for solutions. You wallow of it. You lose sleep over it. You get more frustrated because “gah why can’t things just line up the way I wanted them to?!” -- Me. Too. Sister. This was me last week. So I want to share with you what God has taught me in my current season of waiting. I want to encourage you, today, to see your season of waiting as an opportunity to LEARN, not a place to grumble and complain. Do some self evaluation today and ask yourself: what is your default setting when you experience a delay in your plan? Is your default setting to complain? Or is your default setting trusting God? ------------------- IG: @val_reynolds |

CHRISTIAN LIVING SERIES: Pray Like David
1635
I feel like, normally, when we think of prayer we think it is just talking to God and asking Him for things. And as believers, we are called to pray, petition and ask. I think of Phil 4:6 that says “Do not be anxious about anything but in EVERYTHING by PRAYER AND PETITION, present your requests to God.” Validation, check, yes we can pray and petition about everything. We have John 15:5-7 where Jesus is talking about being the vine and we are the branches. Apart from Jesus, we wither away. And then in verse 7 he says “ If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” Great, so more validation. As believers, if we remain in Him, and we believe & abide by His words, we can ask for whatever we wish and it will be done. 1 Thessalonians tells us to “pray without ceasing”. Good ole Luke 11, you probably have heard this one, “And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” We know many of those verses or, at least, have heard of them. It’s a lot of asking. Ask God for this, ask God for that. But prayer is more than just asking. And David’s prayer in 2 Samuel is a wonderful example of what our prayers need to contain, and it’s more than just asking for blessing. So let’s break this down so we can learn how to prayer better. Prayer is worship. Let's learn how to pray like David. Have you been wanting to grow that more intimate relationship with God or spend more time in the word but just don’t know where to start? CHRISTIAN LIVING SERIES: His Will, Not Our Own
1710
We are continuing on with our Christian living series and today, we are going to tackle that internal battle of our own will vs. God’s will for our lives. Sometimes those two things line up perfectly! And sometimes they are polar opposites. So, as Christians, what do we do? So how do we handle this?

CHRISTIAN LIVING SERIES: Being Faithful In The Little Things
1534
We might “know”, as Christians, we are supposed to think and act differently that the world...but what does that even mean? How am I supposed to act? What does the bible say about the do’s and don’t of Christian living. So this inspired a new series I am calling “Christian Living”. For the next few weeks, God willing, there will be a new Christian living topic we are going to discuss. How are we truly supposed to live as Christians? How can I set myself apart? How can I truly live a life that is the “light of the world”? Are there things currently in my life that I deem “ok” but, in reality, they aren’t conducive to what true Christian living is all about. When something big happens: a big tragedy, a big decision, a big promotion, anything that we would consider our “big mountain to climb”...what do you do to handle it? My guess, if you’re a believer, you pray about it, right? We fervently quote Phil 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, with prayer and petition, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends our understanding will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.” We read that and go, “ok God! This situation has me all kinds of anxious! But I will have faith that you can handle even the worst of situations, so even though I don’t understand how I can have peace right now, your word tells me to present my requests to you. So here I go! I’m going to pray! And you pray and pray and pray. It’s almost a no-brainer to pray about the big stuff. But what about when the situation is just an average, every day occurrence? What about the even smaller things? Do you give those to God, too? You might give God the big things, but do you trust Him with the little things too? Part of that Christian living is to live a life where you trust God so much that you take Him into consideration in everything you do! Allow God into EVERY THOUGHT. Allow God into EVERY ACTION. Maybe you’ve been praying and waiting for all the big things. “God! Why haven’t you answered me yet? God, why is this taking so long? You tell me I do not receive because I do not ask, so I am here asking! Where is it???” -- Well, because sometimes God will put you in charge of many things only after you have been faithful with a few things. ------------------------------------ IG: @val_reynolds |

Having a God-centered marriage // Relationship Series Part 2
1982
Today, this is for all of the ladies who had him put a ring on it. Yes, I am talking to the wives and future wives. All my single ladies, stay tuned in. This podcast is going to have so many valuable pieces of info in it so you can enter your marriage (or future marriage) as the best possible virtuous wife you can be! Now ladies, I will be focusing almost entirely on you, on us. It can be so easy to look at all of the things our spouse does wrong...what he does or doesn’t bring to the table. But this episode is not about “fixing” your husband. This episode is to guide you on what YOU can do to help your marriage. As women, we have a special role only we can fulfil. It is a role that our husbands are not created to accomplish. And, the flip side of that, as women there are roles only a man is meant to fill. So I go deeper into our roles as wives, please please please remember that we have our own unique role. We are not the weaker sex. We do not play a less important role. We have a unique and powerful purpose to plan in marriage and God’s divine plan that only we can fulfill. So let’s pick up that purpose and do our absolute best to fulfil what God created us to do! How can I hear God’s voice better?
1853
Is this the podcast episode you’ve been waiting for? I get asked this question multiple times a week. And it’s time to tackle it! I want to help you remove the barriers that are keeping you from hearing God’s voice. And the passage of The Good Shepherd sheds light on a question I get asked so much, “How can I hear God’s voice?” And it also serves as a warning to us to be aware of actual things in this world that are trying to manipulate and influence us away from our Good Shepherd. We can hear the voice of the Lord! Did you know that you could? We all have the luxury of hearing God’s voice! You ARE capable of hearing God’s voice! Whether it be an audible voice (which has never happened to me), or more of a gentle whisper that almost gets mistaken for a thought (which is what I tend to receive from the Lord). We are all capable of hearing it. So why do some of us feel like we struggle with hearing it? Answer: Gotta listen to this episode! ------------------------ IG: @val_reynolds |

Is manifesting ok for a Christian to do??
2084
Hey friends! I am going to tackle a little bit on a controversial topic. I haven’t been able to let go of this topic all week in my head. And, based on the response this got on Tiktok, I have a feeling it is one of those topics that doesn’t get talked about a whole lot, but it needs to be! So venturing a little bit outside of that comfort zone and those safer topics and we are just going to go for it! Now, if you have no idea what I am talking about… “what is manifesting”? Then don’t worry about me. You keep on keeping on praying, loving, and obeying God. But, as you slowly uncover God’s truths found in the Bible, you begin to realize that it isn't in alignment with God’s word at all. And I have narrowed it down to 2 basic, fundamental Biblical truths (I’m sure there is more) that made me personally realize that new age practices were not needed in my life as a believer. And I am hoping that, if you have dabbled into this or are currently dabbling in it, you have clarity in the end as to why you don’t need manifestation either. ------------------------ IG: @val_reynolds |

BONUS EPISODE - How should I respond to what is going on in the world as a Christian woman
1473
Hey friends. I hope you guys are doing ok with everything that happened just a few days ago. I wasn’t going to address it, I don’t get political on my platforms. But as I was taking a shower this evening, I had a lot of thoughts. And I felt that prompting by God to record this bonus episode. I knew it was a prompting from God because I sat on the couch for about 45 minutes thinking through my thoughts still, trying to ignore the fact that I had the voice inside of me telling me to address this. And Valarie from 2 years ago probably would have ignored that inner voice. But Valarie of now teaches and preaches obedience and stepping into God’s will. So I have to practice what I preach. This episode is meant for my sister who watched what unfolded at Capitol Hill this past Wednesday, saw her newsfeed turn into a war zone once again, and her heart is just unsettled and she doesn’t quite know how to think or feel. She has this mixture of emotions: anger, confusion, frustration. She maybe wants to get loud and opinionated on social media, show some people who are wrong what right really is. But, you also have that Holy Spirit inside of you telling you maybe staying low is the best idea. And your flesh and Spirit are in conflict. If that is you, then this was for you. |

We Reap What We Sow - Planting Good seeds that Honor God in 2021
1559
I encourage you in 2021 to pursue a “better me" perspective than a "new me" perspective. You don't have to start over. Know that you have already been built up to be in the position you’re in. Your past letdowns or mistakes don’t make you a failure to start 2021. Everything you have endured, even as painful as so of it may have been, all build up your endurance, persperverence, strength, hope and faith. And now, it is time to sow new seed to have a better harvest. Now stay with me, because this is not about karma. When we hear the phrase “we reap what we sow”, we think if we reap bad, we receive bad. If we reap good, then we will receive good. This leads to us questioning God sometimes because “I am a good person! I worked so hard last year! It did not turn out how I wanted. It actually turned out way worse! What did I do to deserve this? I’m a good person, I do not deserve this!” -- But see, this is not what the bible means when you read it in Galatians 6. The evil of the world has distorted our vision of what “good and bad” really mean. We have a worldly perspective on “good and bad”. But Galatians is talking about an eternal, Kingdom perspective. As a believer, the Fruit that you should be craving first and foremost is the Fruit from the Spirit. We should want this Fruit over everything else because it’s a salvation thing. It’s an everlasting life thing. And there is nothing more important than this. Yet the Holy Spirit is the one thing people chase after the least. The world wants the Fruit of the Spirit, but rejects the Spirit. The world is reaping what it has sown. It wants love, joy, and peace but it’s been sowing the wrong seeds. You may want the Fruit of the Spirit too. Do you want unconditional love? Do you desire peace that transcends understanding? Do you want joy that doesn’t waiver due to circumstance? Well, we reap what we sow. Have you been sowing enough of the good seed to grow that Fruit inside of you? You reap what you sow. Let's start sowing the good seed for a good everlasting harvest in 2021!!

Protect God’s Temple and Resist the enemy
1801
Let me tell you what I have been hyper aware of this past week...the enemy. The liar, the devil, satan. I’ve been hyper aware of his lies in my life, the lives of my friends, even the lives of my friends on social media just based on stories and posts I see. He is so good and scheming and masking how he is working through the world. So good, in fact, we might not even blame him. We don’t even notice his hand in so many things. We have become desensitized to him and his schemes. I still ask myself, “Why does God allow this to happen?” … but was it really God? Sometimes it is. And I don’t have the answer to that question. But sometimes, it’s the enemy. And it’s been on my heart for about a week. I’ve been so angry with the enemy because he gets away with so many things! Does that make you angry too?? My God gets blamed for so many things and the enemy gets zero credit. It’s so unfair, hence my anger, and probably my hyper awareness. So today, I want to bring awareness to the enemy and his schemes. I want to remove our blinders about him. This enemy has one job: to steal, kill, and destroy. He will plot, scheme, lie, and manipulate anything he can so steal our joy, peace and salvation. Kill our relationships and everlasting life in God. And destroy anything that brings praise and glory to God. And he sometimes does this without us ever knowing. Are you going to let your soul be one of the ones he deceives?! I hope not! So let’s talk about ways you can recognize the enemy in your life and how you have the authority, through the power of Christ, to resist the enemy! ------------------------ IG: @val_reynolds |

How do I love thy neighbor as myself?
1731
Last week, the word “love” was bothering me. That sounds funny to say, how can “love” bother you? But it was bothering me because I had unanswered questions. If we are supposed to love thy neighbor, how does that apply to them vs. their sin? Our phrase “love is love” bothered me and I couldn’t put my finger on why. How can I love yet correct sin? Is that even possible? Does love thy neighbor mean I don’t correct? That doesn’t seem right since God hates sin. But how does love and correction work together? Surely they had to, I just didn’t know how. So with all of these tabs open in my the computer screen of my chaotic mind, I spent some of my quiet time last week really studying “love”. What does God say about love? Digging deeper into love thy neighbor. Studying 1 Corinthians 13, aka the “love chapter”. And you are getting the product of all of my studying and revelation with this episode! What does this look like, to love my neighbor as myself? To answer that, we first have to understand God’s definition of love because we cannot lean on our own understanding, you know! So just like I say, if you want a closer relationship with Jesus, you need to get to know Him. The more you get to know Jesus, the more you will understand agape love and the more you will be able to show it to others around you, like we are supposed to. ------------------------ IG: @val_reynolds |

Growing closer to Christ Part 3: Faith without works is dead
1273
Today, we are wrapping up our final episode of the series “Growing closer to Christ”. In part 1, we talked about the genealogy of Christ. How he descended from sinners, a long lineage of sinners. And that was on purpose! It’s symbolic of how Christ is the ultimate sacrifice. How His blood does cover all of our sins and shame. And, most importantly in my opinion, how we can come as we are. Then, in Part 2 we talked about what faith is all about. What is faith? How do I get faith? And I really challenged you to step into that confident, unwavering faith in Christ. Sometimes we claim to have faith, but faith is confidence in what we cannot see and as human, we struggle when we cannot see what is going to happen next. So our faith faulters and we fall into our anxiety and worry default modes. But there is freedom and joy in Christ! So all of that leads me into the last leg. And this comes from James 2:14-26. Last week didn’t I say that Romans 10 says “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”? And Ephesians repeatedly says that “it is by grace through faith you have been saved. And it’s a gift from God-- not by works, so that no one can boast”? But James tells us "faith without works is dead". Are these two scriptures not contradicting themselves? Confused yet? And at first glance, it can look like they are contradicting themselves. But when you study it a little deeper, they actually do not go against one another, they support one another. ------------------------------------------------ IG: @val_reynolds |

Growing closer to Christ - Part 2: What is TRUE faith?
1825
Do you have something in your house that you had good intentions to use, but you just never got around to using it? A treadmill? One of those exercise mirrors? Maybe it’s an air fryer, instant pot, or stand mixers? Does that thing do you any good just sitting there? Absolutely not, right?! We can’t just stare at a treadmill hoping to get into shape. That instant pot is not going to just cook food magically on its own. Trust me, I’ve tried! All of these things require action on our ends. Our faith operates in the exact same way. But what is faith? How do I know I have “faith”? How do I get that confident belief in God?? I want that! Faith is confident belief in our God. Confident belief in His promises for us. There are no special hoops you have to jump through to receive grace through faith. There are not any elaborate rituals or ceremonies required to receive grace through faith. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. You will be saved. That is faith. And you will grow that confident faith as you continue to learn about Jesus. Study the word. Open your Bible and just read. Next week, we will cover how faith transforms your actions and thoughts. (That is for everyone who likes to throw out the “faith without works is dead” verse. I got yall. You think I am going to leave that out? Of course not. But that deserves it’s own episode. ) I first want to help you establish that confident belief in Jesus Christ. That’s the first step to Salvation and Heaven. One step at a time.

Growing closer to Christ - Part 1: Come as you are
1554
Over and over I was presented with the same or similar question, “How can I grow closer to Jesus?” Other variations include, “How do I have a relationship with Jesus?” “My relationship with Jesus is broken, how do I heal it?” So, in honor of my putting my Christmas decor up for the year (I take Christmas very seriously over here ha!), lets spend some of this time of year focusing on the main thing: JESUS! And more importantly, how can you have that intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, too. This podcast episode is for you if you: I want you to be able to REJOICE with a new relationship with God because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. It’s never been a fix yourself, then come situation. It has always been a “come as you are” invitation. Called to a quiet spirit
1514
Today might be a little difficult to accept by a few of you. And by a few of you, I mean me. If you have a spirit that is loud, outgoing, passionate, energized, opinionated, what we are going to talk about today will be challenging. Because we are going to tackle 1 Peter 3:3-4. It says “Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.” Incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit… I don’t know about yall, but I struggle with having a quiet and gentle spirit. Opinionated doesn’t even begin to touch the surface of who I am. I am bold in what I am passionate about. You want an honest opinion, I am ya girl! I am super competitive and want to win. I don’t mind taking charge, being the boss, and delegating jobs to people in the group. (I was the one, in school, who took charge of the group project and made sure everything was done correctly.)

GIVEAWAY EPISODE! // Doubt will no longer hold me down
1913
GIVEAWAY EPISODE! WE ARE CELEBRATING OUR SHOWS 50TH EPISODE WITHOUR FIRST EVER GIVEAWAY! HOW TO GET YOUR ENTRY: Our doubts can be so loud, they drown out our faith. I would be curious to see what kind of statistic it would be if we kept count of all of the decisions we made based on our doubts rather than our faith. Yet, as Christians, that seems backwards, doesn’t it? As daughters of the King, knowing all that God has done and can do for us, you would think we would automatically choose our faith over our doubts! Right? My God has never lost, He has never lost a battle, nothing is more powerful than Him, so how come I rarely take that into consideration when I am facing yet another doubt? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. But just because there are so many of us who struggle with putting faith over doubt doesn’t give us permission to wallow in our doubt. Oh no ma’am! You daughter of the King are made to RISE UP and CONQUER this doubt! IG: @val_reynolds |

Faith over Fear: Trust the Process
1645
The background of the title is actually an inspiration from my husband’s football team. Their team motto is TTP- Trust the process. It serves as their daily reminder that in order to be a force to be reckoned with, in order to see the end result they want (which is obviously to win games), they have to trust the process. They have to trust that the pain of a vigorous weight lifting program will pay off. They have to trust that many hours of tough practices will pay off. They have to trust the one in charge, the coaches, that they really know what they are doing and they have your best interest at heart. Does this sound familiar to you? Maybe God’s motto for your life sounds a whole lot like TTP? And what better story to remind us to trust the process than the ultimate “trust the process” story of Joseph in the Old Testament. |

Having Faith > Fear: Part 1
1645
Today, we are going to talk about that dreaded thing we call fear. Yep. That thing we carry around with us. That thing our minds tell us is needed to “protect us”. That thought that keeps daughters of the King like you and I playing small ball. Our old buddy we have let hang around for way too long. Today, we are going to tell it to shut the heck up and go back where it came from! Today’s episode starts a new series titled Faith > Fear. This is part 1. We like to listen to fear. Fear gives us an excuse to stay in our comfort zones. Our minds are default programmed to think fear keeps us safe. Nope, if it makes me scared, that is just evidence it’s not meant to be. How many times have you believed that in your life? And this faith > fear thing, it’s autobiographical for me too. I’m sure you have heard this preached once or twice or like 100 times before. Matthew 14 is a very popular set of scripture. I will be honest, fear kept me second guessing myself when I decided this was the passage I was going to teach from. BIG pastor names have used it in their preaching. I almost chose a different passage to do an episode on. Therefore, this very episode you are listening to is a product of me having to push past my own fear to create something beautiful out of faith! IG: @val_reynolds |

Caught in the Grumbling
1512
Today, we are going to the Old Testament, the book of Exodus! We are picking up right after Moses led his people out of Egypt. We had the plagues, we had the parting of the Red Sea, and now we find the Israelites in their first few days of being free people. God had just finished performing all of these unexplainable plagues, they just witnessed the parting of the sea, a MIRACLE. If you were to witness a miracle, you would think that you would be faithful to the Lord forever, right?
Yet, just like the Israelites, we too forget the moments in between the grumbling where The Lord actually provided. So allow this to be your reminder. _______________________________________________________ |

Where will this path of faith lead me?
1574
Today, we are back in the book of Ruth! Last week, we dove into the very first chapter of the book. And I left you with a challenge to step into your inner Ruth. Let Orpah take the bench for a while, and walk in faith like Ruth walked. But what happens to Ruth and Naomi?! What happens next after I walk in obedience to God? Remember, our focus is faith and following faith in obedience to God, even when it’s full of uncertainty. And sometimes there is work to be done in your waiting. Add this to the list of Ruth characteristics to live by: working while we wait. Does Ruth get a "happy ending"? What were God's bigger plans for her? What are God's bigger plans for me? Oh they happen! But I am not going to put spoiler alerts in the show notes. IG: @val_reynolds |

Faith-Seeker Series Part 2: How can I have faith when everything around me is falling apart?
1328
Today, we continue our faith-seekers series and I wanted to tackle a very tough topic. How can I have faith when everything around me is falling apart? Gosh, that is such a honest question and I would bet many of us, including myself, have asked this a time or two in our lives. Do not feel like you are less than a Christian if you have asked this question before. We are human. We are not perfect. There is no harm in asking honest questions when you’re searching for an answer. The harm can happen when you’re asking this question in the absence of wanting an answer. So if you are open to hearing this world and truly finding your answer to your question “how can I have faith when everything around me is falling apart?”, keep listening. Because, in the end, God is not here for us and our comfort. We are here to praise Him and give Him glory. Your struggles, your sufferings, yeah they’re no fun. No one wants to suffer. But when you do, or if you are currently suffering, you get to choose what to do with your suffering: Are you going to see it as an opportunity to mature your faith? To be like Job and still praise God’s name even in the middle of the storm? Are you going to shine through your struggles so the people around you see how strong and mature your faith is? What a witness you will be if you choose to do that!! _______________________________________________________ |

Faith-Seeker Series Part 1: Am I worthy enough?
1527
We are diving into a Faith-seekers series. This is for those of you who are seeking that closer relationship with God. But you don’t know where to start. You doubt your faith. You can’t hear God. You feel like you’re too far gone. - Sister, you are NONE of these things. So to kick this off, we are going to study Jesus’ first miracle, turning water into wine and how He saves His best for your last. Holiness doesn’t come from your inner pride, ambition, hard work, achievements, or how many people like you. Holiness comes from Jesus. Applying what he taught and obeying God’s word over your flesh. Over what your thoughts tell you. Over what people tell you. Your first step to become a faith-seeker is to seek first his kingdom. Seek Jesus. Read about his miracles. Open up that bible and start in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Get to know who Jesus was, what he did, the miracles he performed. The more you get to know who Jesus was, the more your faith will grow.

It's time to release your control, my fellow control freak.
1812
Are you a control freak like me? You want things your way. You have a hard time allowing others to help you because you’re afraid they will “do it wrong.” Do you have a habit of hustle and grind, getting overworked and ending up exhausted because “if it’s meant to be, it’s up to me!” You get that anxious feeling when you have to delegate trust and duties? You are a planner and if the next week isn’t planned out to perfection with all of your answers answered, you live the next 7 days in worry and stress? You hate not knowing how things will turn out. You lose sleep because of to-do lists. I could keep going and going because this is literally my life. Sometimes, my inner control freak gets so out of hand, it can gets in the way of my faith and belief in God. My “if it’s meant to be, it’s up to me” attitude can cause me to grind and hustle, leaving me to forget God plays a huge part in my success. I do what I think is best to try to get the results I want...and sometimes what I want is not always what God wants for me. _______________________________________________________ |

Have a testimony, not an excuse
1606
Do you have something in your life right now, maybe a dream, and aspiration, maybe a prayer or a request, that just seems impossible? You don’t see how you can do it on your own? You don’t see how it’s even possible? You don’t feel capable enough to handle it? You don’t feel like you’re made to achieve this dream you have? All the doubt, worry, skepticism is flooding your mind and you can’t see past it. You’re staring at a Goliath and it’s too scary and big to conquer. I thought of the story of David and Goliath. Goliath was coming out of this tent daily and taunting the Israelites, making them scared and fearful. They didn’t think they were strong enough to defeat Goliath or the Philistines. They felt too small, too weak. The task as hand felt unconquerable. Kind of like how you might feel right now? |

God's love is relationship goals
1498
Today, I wanted to focus on relationships. While I don’t consider myself an expert , I have been married for almost 11 years, been together for almost 13. And prior to my husband, I dealt with plenty of heartbreak. So this episode is focusing on the things I have learned about relationships, love, marriage. And hopefully you can take something and apply it to your current or future relationships so they are God centered. First, you need to understand what love is and where love comes from. For God is love. Maybe you are feeling a void in your soul from where your love used to be. And right now you’re feeling like the only way that void can be filled is back with the one who broke it. But the love of a man is not what will make you whole. 1 John says “God is love”. It doesn’t say your spouse is love. It doesn't say your ex is love. It says GOD is love. A partner won’t make you whole. God’s love makes you whole. God’s love is perfect. God’s love is pure. God’s love is everlasting. God sent his son to die on the cross for His church. So your spouse should love you unconditionally. Not just when He wants to. Not just when it’s convenient for him. UNCONDITIONALLY. Love is not selfish. Love is not about what you can do for him and he disrespects you. He shouldn’t only be around when it’s convenient for him. He shouldn’t only call you when he wants something. He shouldn’t be ashamed of you. He should love you as much as he loves himself. He should love you the way GOD loves the church. That should be your standard! Do not settle for anything less. Your marriage. Your relationship should be one of 3 strands. One strand is you. One strand is your spouse. One strand is God. Have a God-centered marriage. One where you are whole in God. Your husband is whole in God. And together, you’re not easily broken. Your spouse shouldn't fill your void. You’re setting them up for failure because their human. They’re not perfect. They will let you down. But God is love. And if you both know God, you will both know love. And you’re marriage will not easily be broken. |

Breaking the chains of worry
1467
Worry is so widespread, so commonplace, we just expect it in our lives, don’t we? And I don’t think any of us are immune to worry, including me. So this is for anything who struggles with worry. Deep struggles. Occasional struggles. Daily struggles. Struggles every once in a while. Worry keeps us from looking at the blessings in our life. Worry keeps us from remembering God’s truths and promises about our life. Worry keeps us laser focused on fear, the unknown, this cycle of scary and fearful thoughts that we dwell on. And the more we dwell on them, the scarier the what-if scenarios become. The bigger the worry fire becomes. Worry is NOT from God. It is not ok to sit in your worry. It is not ok for your soul and your faith to dwell in your anxiety. Who called you an anxious person? Who titled you a worrisome person? Says who?? Says you? Says the devil? How about says God?? NOT ANY MORE! Do not let the devil win any more because of your worry. You want to conquer your worry? Fertilize that faith of yours. Have such a strong Faith (being hopeful for what we cannot see) that you can look at your worry and say “listen. I see you worry. And I can choose to sit in you. But I don’t choose you. I choose not to dwell in you any longer. Because I know My God will come through. Again. Like he has done for me time and time again. God fights my battles. He has gone before me. And I have that kind of Faith so you can say "You have no more power over me, worry!” IG: @thebeautifullyenoughpodcast and @val_reynolds |

Are your habits suffocating your growth?
1586
Today, I want to talk about habits. I think we all can agree there are good habits and bad habits. Some of us have good eating habits. We eat healthy foods, lots of fruits and veggies, avoiding processed sugars, avoiding too much of a good thing like carbs or fats. You do things in moderation and you make good choices. Others of us have bad eating habits. We give our bodies empty calories, too much processed food, too many sugars, too many carbs, too much sodium. And have you ever tried to break that bad habit? You know your body needs more fruits and veggies...but you find yourself going back to the same old bad eating habit. You know better! But knowing and doing are two totally different things. And more often than not, the bad habit eventually starts winning again. Now that’s about a physical habit, but we have spiritual habits too.

Knock out the Negativity
1419
In today’s episode, I wanted to tackle our negative thoughts. Our minds are constantly filled with these toxic negative self-talk but negative thoughts go beyond our self-talk. Our fears of the future are negative thoughts. Cancelling out a positive with a negative statement is a form of our negative thoughts. “I lost 3 lbs this week but I was aiming for 5 lbs so I’m still fat.” Focusing on the one frustrating hour that happened today with the kid instead of remembering the other 23 hours that were actually peaceful and full of joy and laughter. And so many times, we don’t even begin to recognize these “smaller” negative thoughts as toxic, do we? They seem so small and harmless. They are out of habit ad we don’t even realize they're negative. Some of us have a habit of being negative and we don’t even realize we do it. So what I want to focus on today is two things:
This is not about turning you into positive polly and you walk around like a cheerleader 24/7, all perky and smiling. This is about living a life in accordance with Jesus Christ. It is about keeping our minds centered on God. It’s about allowing God to infiltrate EVERY aspect of our lives, including our thoughts. Most importantly our thoughts! Don’t you want to be living a life where God is with you, providing you with this peace that transcends our understanding? Do you want to keep going down this road of being the negative nancy? (sorry nancy). How does life feel when you’re mind is saturating with negative, down, fearful thoughts? It’s pretty exhausting isn’t it. We don’t like to be there. So let me help you start practicing capturing our thoughts and focusing our energies only on our thoughts “worthy of praise”.

Finding your strength when you're feeling weak- Part 2
2180
This is a continuation of our two part series from last week! Last week, I started a series called How to find your strength when you’re feeling weak. And we talked about Step 1- moving over and resting. Trusting God in faith to handle things. Taking your Sabbath. We are not make everlasting, so we need to recharge. It was all about letting Jesus take the wheel and you need to realize you need REST. This week- it’s going to be fun. If your nature is more of fight first, Part 2 is going to be right up your alley. Or you know what, even if you’re not the put-up-a fight first women, this is still for you! Don’t count yourself out for this because this is so important to understand and practice. But it’s definitely the more “hands on” approach of finding your strength when you’re feeling weak. “ Kingdom-style leaders who do this are a force to be reckoned with and make Satan quake because he has nothing in his armory to stop them.” -- Armory -- Armour -- The Armour of God. So Step 2 of finding your strength when you’re feeling weak: put on that amour and protect yourself! The devil isn’t a dummy. He is smart. He knows the exact atmosphere that is conducive to you creating your own self destruction. BUT- if I arm myself with the armour of God, I will be more aware of how the atmosphere around me changes! Let’s go over them first and I will explain how they will protect you from yourself. How you can use them to fight off those things that wear us down and make us tired. You know that saying “be the woman who’s feet hit the ground and makes satan say “oh crap, she’s up.” Make him say oh crap she’s up! Because you know how to use your armor, sister!! Make satan get on the defensive, backing up, doing what he can to keep you from scoring. Don’t let him or any of this atmosphere changes keep you down, weak and exhausted. RISE UP!

Finding your strength when you're feeling weak- Part 1
1747
What does feeling weak mean to you? For some of you, you feel weak when you have too much on your plate and are feeling exhausted and burnt out. For others, feeling weak might mean to give to everyone else and you haven’t taken care of yourself in a while. Still for others, it could be you’re not feeling successful, you’re not making the strides you want to make in your businesses. Maybe the devil is on full blown attack mode and nothing is going right right now: this is breaking, this isn’t working, then someone got sick, maybe you lost your job? Maybe your hours got cut? Maybe you’re full of worry, stress, anxiety and that sucks the energy and life out of you. Feeling weak is going to be different for everyone. But what I want to leave you with today is how you can find your strength again. Our weakness is God’s moment to step in for us. We are not strong enough alone. We feel weak, tired, exhausted, worries, anxious, etc because we are trying to do anything and everything under our own strength. We hustle and work hard for our businesses and burn-out because we only tap into our own power reserve. What if we stopped treating God like a magic genie and instead, we literally let Jesus take the wheel. (corny I know!) You would rather push through life, tired, exhausted, hungry, on an empty tank than pulling over and giving complete control to God! You would rather hustle a little bit more than take a 24 hour Sabbath, day of rest, giving God a full day to work for you. You would rather do all of the chores than ask your husband for help because “he doesn’t do then right”. You refuse to get a babysitter for 2 hours to watch the kids so you want have that quiet time and rest. You won’t ever say no to a plan because you’re too afraid of hurting that person's feelings, even if you’re already stretched thin and running around like a chicken with your head cut off. I know you want to be super woman! But you’re not made to be super woman! Pull over and let someone else drive! REST! Even God rested! Do we forget this? You were not made almighty, indestructible, with unlimited energy. God has gifted you a day of rest! Why do we not take it?

Keeping your actions in alignment with God's word
1867
I was torn with where to go with this podcast episode. If you are listening at a later date, right now this podcast is being recorded on 6/7/20, in the middle of a lot of discord with our nation. We just suffered a tragedy of the murder of George Floyd and it has sparks a national debate over racism. And honestly, with a social media and podcast platform, you question yourself. "Do I say anything on my platforms?” “What do I say?”. You’re afraid to say something wrong or incorrectly. And when there are a lot of uncertain questions like that, our human nature tends to just make up clam up. We tend to get really quiet because we would prefer quiet than saying something to offend anyone. I recognize that. So I really had to lean on God this week for if and what do I say. And I wanted to also make sure than my decisions and my sharing where based on His word, His truth, and not by what I was consuming on social media. I hope this podcast is something you needed today. Sometimes we just need the guidance so we know how to form our thoughts not how we see fit, but in full alignment with God’s word. |

Courage in your Confidence
1982
Confidence is probably the #1 thing I see lacking in so many of my girl friends. Lacking confidence is such an easy this to feel because we are constantly surrounded by the perfect lives of people on social media, other people's talents and skills we think are better than our own, and our past failures and experiences tell us that we just don't have what it takes to do better next time. |

Taking Offense
1412
There will always be something said or done to you that will be offensive. We cannot control offenses being done to us. But we can control how we react to them. Now- when an offense happens TO you, it’s easy to recognize. You are on the receiving end. You can feel when someone is disrespecting you. You can feel the disdain and intent to hurt your feelings. And we cannot control how the other person acts or what they say. As much as some of us want to control the actions of others, we do not possess that power. We cannot control the offense being done to us. We cannot control what was said. We cannot control what was typed in a post or comment. We cannot control what is recorded on TV that is offensive to us. BUT- you can control how you REACT to them. Now, the world is going to tell you to strike back! If you offend me, I am going to offend you! Your belief offended me, let me tell you how my opinion is correct. You have no right to talk to me that way, let me put you in your place! You allow yourself to be full of anger, resentment, and even condescending. That does not sound very Christ-like, does it. That does not sound like something a Christain should be walking in or doing. Yet so many of us do. Be like Christ to the people around you, whether they are offensive to you or not. What are YOUR actions and words going to produce in response to that offense? Before you post that screenshot and start “putting someone in their place”, is that post producing love and joy? What about what it will trigger your friends to start doing? Are your actions going to produce peace, patience, and kindness in the comments of your friends? If those fruits of the spirit are not going to be produced, then don’t post it. Don’t say it.

Moving Forward Without Fear of the Future
1528
Have you been allowing your thoughts to cause so much chaos in your mind that you have been adding unnecessary worry and fear to your day? I see if all over my social media newsfeed. Yes, even I have my moments where thinking about the unknown and where we will be in the next few months gives me anxiety and stress. Will school start again? Will we have to do homeschool again? It’s honestly exhausting and all of these questions begin to create fear and anxiety because frankly, we know none of these answers right now. IG: @thebeautifullyenoughpodcast and @val_reynolds |

Believe in yourself because God made you
1408
God thinks you’re good enough. Now it’s your turn to believe it. I want to call out your false beliefs about yourself. Lies in our thoughts about who we are, what we are capable (or not capable of), that we don’t measure up, that we are lacking something, other’s are better than us, more skilled than us, they have something we don’t. I want to tell you friend, that those “beliefs” are lies. God did not create you unworthy. God did not create someone else better than you. God did not create you anxious. Those things are not from God. And if they are not from God, then why are we holding onto them like they are part of our identity? |

God doesn't work in your comfort zone
1602
Are you using “I prayed about it” as your excuse to cover up how you really feel which is “it takes me way past my comfort zone so I'm not to say no.” Now don’t come after me!! Prayer is so important to your walk with God. It’s how we communicate with him. Our conversations bring us closer to him. And I encourage you to pray about any situation or decision, Big or Small! BUT - Have you ever prayed about something, something that makes you uncomfortable, pushes you out of your comfort zone, and you choose to say no to that journey, not because God told you it’s not time, but because it simply just makes you uncomfortable? And to make yourself feel better about your decision you cover it up with the excuse “I prayed about it”. IG: @thebeautifullyenoughpodcast and @val_reynolds |

Today's podcast topic is based off of a song by Elevation Worship and Kari Jobe titled "The Blessing". I have listened to this song multiple times, but today it just hit me different. Giving EVERYTHING to God
1819
What is going on in your life that is leaving you tired mentally or physically? Your kids are driving you nuts. You’ve lost your job. The government isn’t deeming you as essential. You are essential and people not following instructions are making you irritated. How are you handling all of this negative? Do you turn to social media to complain? Do you have complaints between friends? Venting to your spouse? It can be so easy to pass the complaining torch from one human being to another. And one could argue this is just innocent. There isn’t any harm in venting and releasing it on social media right? “I just need to let it out to my best friend and i will feel better”...but...does it go away after you post? Does your problem go away after you vent to your mom or friend? Sometimes I feel like we save God for only the big issues. We don't bother him with our "small problems". I would like to suggest a change in how we handle our issues. Nothing is too small to fit into your prayers. God wants to hear EVERY prayer, every request, big or small. Don’t discount your need by saying “oh this is nothing”, so you choose to skip over the filter of God’s layer first. If you’re thinking it, if you’re feeling it, it is something. And that something is big enough to present to God FIRST. IG: @val_reynolds |

Right on Time
1752
Can you think of one time in your life you found yourself upset or frustrated because something didn’t quite pan out the way you intended? The end results didn’t match up to your timeline. Things aren’t going the way you want them to. They’re not going fast enough. There are more obstacles in your way than you anticipated. You feel like it's constantly taking 2 steps forward, one step back kind of a thing. sometimes all we feel is that God is telling us no. No- not right now. No- you’re not ready. No- just be patient. And right now, I feel like we are hearing even more No’s...no you can’t go back to work yet...no you can’t leave your home yet...no we are not done with this quarantine...and even I find myself getting frustrated at times. Frustration things are getting better faster.God I’m frustrated. You keep telling us no. Things are moving fast enough. This is not matching up with my timeline. MY timeline. Fix things on MY timeline. Make things happen on MY timeline...yet I have to self reflect. Is MY timeline always the perfect one? No. God’s timeline is perfect. Every single time it is perfect. He knows the ending. I should be BLINDLY trusting of this God...shouldn’t I? Continue to grow in God, grow your faith. Rejoice in Him always, even as He is making you wait.
His timing is perfect. IG: @val_reynolds |

Why was I so good just a few weeks ago and now I am moments I cannot hold it together? Do you feel weak? Tired? Exhausted? Maybe even frustrated? Angry? Like God we prayed?! Why isn’t it better?! Why do I still not have a job? How will we pay for our bills this month? I might kill my kids if I have to home school for the rest of the school year. |

Going back to the essentials
1537
This word “essential” has been flying around more than ever before. In this new cancelled life we have been living lately, we have been stripped down to just the essentials. Our extremely busy lives of what we thought were “essential” have been slowed way down and we are finding that our essentials are. And it’s not that we didn’t love these “essentials” with our old way of living...but when all of the distractions are gone, our eyes have truly been opened to what is really important. The essentials: those things that are absolutely necessary, extremely important. We are finding out essentials again. How long have we gone storing up our riches for ourselves on this earth, instead of focusing on our riches in heaven? This quarantine has opened my eyes as it probably has yours too. Have you found yourself going back to the essentials? I cannot pretend to understand why things are happening the way they are. But I do know that we can take this time to grow closer to God. We can take this time to grow our faith. Faith grows exponentially faster in the middle of a fire than when everything is perfect. Things that once were so important to us are now non-essential. When this is all over, we figure out how to be grateful for life, our life, and remember the times when we were stripped down to our essentials. IG: @val_reynolds |

Reassurance for us all
1383
Taking a break from our March series of The Lies. I tried to come up with something to keep that flow going, but God really put it on my heart to just speak peace, reassurance, and strength over all of my listeners this week. As scary as our world has become with Covid-19, I know my God is more powerful than anything in this world. I know that my God already knew about all of this, this isn’t a surprise to him. And for some reason, knowing that He already knew about it AND He already knows what is to come, gives me a sense of calm and peace. What if we took all of our fears unknowns and didn't factored in my own strength, but GOD’s strength, power, and knowledge?? Filter what you are consuming through the filter of God. Fix your attention on Him. Represent him well today, not by fear or anger, but by being an example of peace and kindness during this uncertain time. IG: @val_reynolds |

The Lie: My Spouse needs to give me what I need
1553
We are continuing our mini-series of The Lies! In this week's episode, we are tackling relationships! More specifically marriages and the feeling that our spouse should give us everything. We think they are supposed to be our source of love, validation, identity, self worth...but is that what my husband is made to do? Feeling loved, beautiful, wanted, secure, validated, are not bad things to feel. We want to feel those, right?? You want to feel these things! The problem r husbands can make me feel...it implies he has the power to make you feel...and sister, he doesn’t have that power. He does not control your thoughts. He doesn’t control your feelings. YOU control BOTH those. IG: @val_reynolds |

Foundation of Faith
1491
On this episode, I give you a small sneak peek into a part of my Made for More Masterclass! The course is a 4 week course designed to help women grown a stronger, more resilient foundation of faith, using that faith to grow in our courage and self confidence, and ultimately be able to confidently walk in our power that God has ordained us with! This episode is a small taste of week 2 of my four week course! It was so powerful with my launch group that I couldn't hold it back from everyone else! How would you rank your foundation of faith on a scale of 0-10? Why is a foundation of faith important to our spiritual walk in Christ? (It goes deeper than, "so we don't go to hell".) We deep super deep in this episode. We discuss what evidence in our life is proof that we are walking on a true foundation of faith OR if events/emotions/thoughts in our lives are actually evidence that we have been walking on a substitute for our faith. Perhaps you have been building your life on a substitute? This is such a juicy topic, guys! Join me and be blessed by the word! |

Our Words are Powerful
1387
We are currently living in a society where we are allowed any and all opinions. And while we might have our freedom of speech, social media has allowed us to become people who act braver behind a keyboard without any negative repercussions of our actions. What does the Bible say about our actions as Christians? What should we be doing and saying in a secular world? What is the most powerful weapon we have at our disposal every day against these rude comments, negative opinions, and condescending words from strangers? Do we fight back with more words or is there something more powerful that God has given us that makes an even bigger impact? |

Are you a Doer or a Hearer?
1168
Do you ever have those moments where you are feeling called to do something? There is a little voice inside of you that is urging to just take the leap of faith. Just step out in to the unknown. Everything will be ok. Just do it. See what it’s all about! BUT – then our brain takes over. The “rational” part of our brain starts to create a list of all the reasons why it’s a bad idea, why it won’t work, you’re not qualified, you don’t even know where to start. And we come the conclusion that we have to say no. We aren’t meant to walk down that journey because of XYZ. Does this sound a bit familiar when it comes to your life? Have you been staying in your comfort zone instead of listening to God’s calling on your life? What would you life be like if we followed God with all of our heart, all of our faith, all of our truth ALL THE TIME? You were made for so much more! Let's climb out of that comfort zone together into a bigger purpose for you! |

Our Spiritual Gifts
1571
Today I want to focus on the struggle that a lot of ladies have when it comes comparison. But putting a slightly different spin on the comparison trap. I want to instead redirect all of that energy on the outside and focus it back on ourselves. I wanted to focus on what we possess, things we are good at. Our spiritual gifts! We are too busy thinking our gifts are not good enough and everybody else’s gifts are better than our own. So we choose to not put our own energy towards unlocking the spiritual gifts God has given to us. God’s gifts are handed out everywhere! So join me as we find out what our true spiritual gifts are, knowing they are special, and they are needed! IG: @val_reynolds |

Capture Your Confidence
1681
I wanted to make sure I titled this podcast correctly, focusing on growing our confidence and not how we are lacking confidence. Our thoughts are so powerful and we can easily allow them to take full control of us to the point we don’t even recognize we have lost control of them. We can easily focus on how much confidence we are lacking or missing and only entertaining the negative option as our only option. In today's podcast, I am going to challenge you to see your CHOICES when it comes to confidence! Yes, you have the capacity to CHOOSE which outlook you are going to take today! Are you going to choose thoughts that are full of limiting beliefs about yourself? ? OR are you going to choose the thoughts that are grounded with a growth mindset? You have the power to chose to stay stuck feeling you don't have any confidence or you can choose to get back up and take your confidence back! Let's chat about how you can do that today plus what spiritual weapons you will need to build this new found confidence on a foundation of truth, so you will not be shaken! |

Peace Isn't Happiness
1447
